The bathrooms could have done with a bit more of a clean, only one toilet for men on the entire floor and located at the other end of the building from our room

Very good breakfast as catered for me being Gluten Free

Fantastic place to stay after a long day in the hills!

I'd booked twin beds but ended up with a double which was a bit annoying. But the worst thing was a bunch of really noisy guests keeping us awake in the room next door (room 1) for two hours between about 11:30 and 1:30 until my friend knocked on their door and asked them to " shut up there are people trying to sleep up here" Also the bath mat in the shower room was a bit weird - it was soaking wet and made of a rubber type material? A normal bathmat would have been appreciated.

great breakfast, staff really helpful, excellent fish and chips. Really comfy bed. Really liked all the interesting posters and photos on the walls. Was also really impressed with the interpretation/historical displays and information boards next to the Hilton.

Like a trip back in time to a bygone era. What an awesome hotel. Not modern or flash in any way but a refreshing change.. The food is to die for and we'll priced. Rooms basic but comfy bed and clean. The staff are happy and helpful. Highly recommend this establishment.

We loved the quirky nature of the place and the accomodation. The staff were friendly and good to have a chat to. We loved our meals at the restaurant. We had plenty for breakfast (which was included). Our room (with four single beds) was above the bar and the music/people socialising was not quiet (as you would expect from a pub!) but I found it ok to head off to sleep with the sounds from downstairs. We are glad that we had the opportunity to stay in this historic building.

I know it is trying to keep true to history but it could do with a little refresh. Room needed something on walls like copies of the poster down stairs and needed a bedside table and lamp.

We loved the history of the building. It was comfortable and clean.
