Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New Zealand-Very overpriced. -50 dollars for parking! I ended up parking in the Civic Centre for 24 a day during weekdays and 16 for weekend days. -HDMI cable or Apple Airplay or Google Crome would be good.
-Comfortable beds. -Quite Rooms. -Amazing staff, very helpful and go out of their way to help. -Wifi was decent most the time. -Shower was tidy and clean.

New ZealandThe booking stated that parking was included. however, when our spot was taken by someone else, we were told we would have to move our car. Extremely inconvenient.
The rooms were very clean and pleasant looking. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, so my stay there was wonderful. I also liked that check out wasn't too early and that we were able to have a little sleep in.

New ZealandThe Churchill bar being over 18 only. Wanted to take teenage kids in to look at the view. I understand not allowing young kids and appreciate liquor licences are set but was pretty disappointed we weren’t even allowed in.
Good sized rooms all clean. Ate dinner in the restaurant and had breakfast all was very good.

New ZealandThe hotel was fabulous. We've stayed in loads of hotels in the CBD but never 4 Points by Sheraton. The highlight was the rooftop bar. Fantastic! My only negative was that the room is small. Just the bed really - although it was comfortable.

New ZealandThe air conditioning was very loud, which made it harder to get to sleep. There was a bright red light on the ceiling which also didn't help. Providing an eye mask and ear plugs is something the hotel should look into. I covered the alarm clock as the display was also bright. There was no bedside lamp, the choice of lighting was either all or nothing. And the shower leaked out into the bathroom. I turned it on before getting in and the water was splashing beyond the drain grate. I was travelling alone so used extra towels on the floor. For a luxury brand there were more things that made my stay less comfortable than it should have been (as a mother on a night away from home I didn't get the restful sleep I wanted).
The bed was comfy and the shower water pressure was great. The location is perfect for seeing a show at the Aotea Centre, the Queen St entrance making it even more convenient.

New ZealandWe paid for a superior king room, expecting to have some what of a view, however we were disappointed that not being the case. One thing that was really off putting, and will likely be the reason we won’t return is the bathroom door didn’t seal shut, meaning if someone was trying to do their business anyone else in the room could hear, the fan didn’t seem to work either. There also was no bathroom spray and no toilet brush. The room felt very small, and for the price it really wasn’t worth it. In order to get a glass of water, we had to use the sink in the bathroom/toilet which felt very unsanitary. We had left the service light on for our room to be serviced and it had not been done. For what we paid we were quite disappointed, the room was mostly clean, and bed comfy but we won’t be back.
We liked the fact that it was somewhat close to everything we needed.
