Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was a microwave only which these days is a little limiting.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were ever so helpful. Next door was Woolworts which was great as the motel is the far end of Paihia. The location was great fir accessing the Waitangi Treaty grounds. That proved a bonus when the weather turned wet and we had 3 days continuous rain. It was close ti the beach also for a swim.

The staff were great. Moved us to the ground floor because we found the stairs difficult. Very friendly and quiet. Woolworths right next door.

I was delayed on my trip and arrived very late. The staff at Te Tiriti were very accommodating when I called ahead. I always worry about motels being old and dingy. But this motel was super well looked after, clean and modern. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was clean and modern. I was very impressed. It served this tired traveller perfectly.

the accomodation is no more than a regular budget motel clean and quite spacious but our unit was bordering the main road whose heavy traffic noise never stops even late in the night colors, furnitures and details return an impression of modest conditions far from the feeling we had from the pictures published personell helped us to solve a problem we had with our reservation shops restaurants and beach are at a walking distance

It was difficult having no kitchen sink and trying to fill up the bowl provided by getting water from the bathroom basin. The check in time was between 3pm and 5pm with an additional fee if you checked in later than 5pm. We read this before booking but it did restrict our plans for the day. A note by the door had "Late check out will be charged at $50 per hour, which seemed excessive, not that we were late. A few days before staying, we received an email asking for a $200 bond as the motel was now requiring it. I phoned and said that we would not be paying it as it wasn't required at time of booking. We were pleasantly surprised to feel so genuinely welcome by Tash after such communications.
Tash on reception was very warm and welcoming, telling us to help ourselves to chocolates and providing an extra key and information on the area. Air conditioning was good. Bed was Super King and very comfortable. The swimming pool was clean. It was nextdoor to Woolworths Supermarket which was convenient. We would have liked to stay longer.

The twin beds were uncomfortable and the beeping from neighbouring supermarkets forklift at early morning woke us up

Great Motel for the price, good communication from reception. Easy walking distance to Paihia Wharf, right next to Woolworth. Arrived late so keys were left in the rooms which made 'check in' super easy. Rooms were lovely and clean and access to the pool through one of the rooms was just perfect for my teenage kids.

No A/C but they had a portable fan
Host showed us to the room and how to operate everything, gave us pool towels and a run down on the town and where to eat dinner. Which was amazing. Beautiful part of the world. Everything was walking distance in the town.

Did have trouble walking upstairs. Walking is hard for me .I Did need a hand going upstairs and down.
The setting it was just beautiful . Could see the sea from our balcony. Just lovely.

The facilities were good, we had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. It could be tricky to get hold of staff when we needed something but we got there eventually. A nice quiet spot and a lovely 20 minute walk from Pihia

The unit we booked wasn't a reflection of the advertising - it wasn't bad, we just thought it would be poolside - not facing the carpark.
The staff were helpful, professional and friendly. The unit had everything we needed, was clean and tidy.

Location. Nowhere near Paihia as advertised in the booking site. No pick up. 20 minute bag drag in the heat was a turn off. Staff didn’t know how to book a taxi in leaving.

Great location, close to all activities. Our family enjoyed the large swimming pool and BBQ area. Our accomodation was spacious and comfortable. We'd definitely stay again.
