Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe had a private room and there was no air flow at all. The staff told us the whole floor was connected with the aircon so they couldnt do anything but we had no windows and no aircon or flow so the room was very hot and stuffy.
The decor of the hostel was nice and modern. Clean and spacious common areas with a cool bar inside. I thought the bathrooms were especially good for a hostel.

New ZealandKitchen closes at 10pm. No access to hot water or microwaves or anything. There are vending machines with minute noodles and pies and things but you can't heat them up with the kitchen closed. Huge downside, would make me reconsider hostel options.
Wonderful place! The rooms were nice and clean and comfortable. Good location and wonderful sitting spaces. Lovely staff.

Australiaall of the above!
Stylish, comfortable, quirky, and surprising… This place is underestimated “Pod Hotel” is a perfect description. I found my pod, modern, solid built, clean & tidy. The bed was comfortable and quite spacey - The pod was well equipped with mirror, usb & power points. The lockers connected to each private pod are secured with one card for all level door, room door, pod locker which is hassle free. The outlay and design is so clever when we were there it was heavily booked yet we weren’t overwhelmed by lots of people. The bar / cafe & communal kitchen was classy with a good vibe. The media room had a moody business den atmosphere and you could type your own letters and post anywhere from the media to the world. The bathrooms & showers were ticked the boxes.

New ZealandThe check in process in theory would be convenient although the fact it did not work at all and there was only one person to accommodate a large amount of people trying to check in made the check in process not good at all. And then when we finally got to speak with the staff member we were told the room was still not ready for check in despite it being the stated confirmed check in time. Which would have been fine if we were given a heads up before arriving as we could have been out and about doing things instead of having to wait almost an hour to check in.
Was a good location and good value stay. Would definitely stay here again! Although the check in process wasn't great, they did give us a voucher for a free cocktail/beer for the bar on site which was great!

New ZealandHaving a 50min wait after the check in time for our room. They gave us 1 house beer voucher for 2 guests but we would have appreciated the offer of an hour later check out to compensate the time we paid for.
Comfy bed, clean, decent pressure & hot shower, chrome cast TV function and WiFi didn't have issues, simple check out procedure.

United KingdomThe only thing it was getting a bit too hot in the evening but someone brought in a fan so it got much better the next days Only wish the kitchen was a bit more organised and cleaner fridges but I can understand is a bit hard with so many people all the time in
Wish more hostels would take notes from Lylo. Easy check in,card key that locks your cupboard too, very clean compared to other ones I have seen. The pod was spaceful, comfortable, had meshes to put your stuff in. Secret lighting in the room for all night comfort and nice panels for privacy.

AustraliaThe website mentioned toiletries are fully provided and although they were, they were just bottles left for people to take into the shower so if the showers are busy, you might not get any
Purposely booked Lylo since the website gave me those Japanese capsule hotel vibes and it did. In fact, I think it was fancier. I stayed at one in Japan and they were super efficient and although it was very comfortable, it felt a bit isolated as there was no common area to mingle with other people. What different with Lylo was, you get that efficiency and comfort, but you can also meet and mingle with other travelers if you prefer. Also love the quiet area!
