Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandTHREE IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: (1) Our room had a broken hook, which left only ONE hook. That needs to be repaired and we reported it. It would be a welcome improvement if the double bed rooms without an ensuite had some extra hooks. There is only one chair and no place to put /hang things. SO, lots of hooks along the walls would be welcome. SO why not splurge out get some hooks?? You could bulk-buy them at a discount. A small cost, but a thoughtful touch. (2) Also on our floor (we were in room 208) has a wonderful, wide, long hallway along a window -- what a great place for a couple of chairs and coffee table. A nice sunny place to sit and read and take a quick break from the bedroom without going all the way downstairs. This need has been catered for on the 2nd floor already -- there is a sitting nook on that 2nd floor, but it's by the toilets and has no outside views. SO - how about a secondary sitting area located along that beautiful window wall? (3) The "both gender" toilet on the second floor did not have a toilet brush. There was excrement in the toilet bowl and no way to remove it. That was at about midnight. In the morning a new example was in the toilet bowl and no way to remove it. I think most people would leave the toilet bowl clean if a brush was available.
Room was SUPER clean. Sheets were high quality. Bedroom temperature (which you couldn't control) was pretty much perfect - so no need to control it. I LOVE your staff at the desk. They are so friendly and natural and helpful. The cafe has a great layout and vibe. It's a nice, relaxing space to be in with lots of light and windows.. The reading/ quiet room next to the check-in desk looks very inviting and cosy. The single-sex toilet/shower block was SUPER clean.

New ZealandOur room does not have a window.
The property is conveniently located near the central business district, has a pleasant atmosphere, and offers great value for the price.

ItalyAfter one week (and another one to go) we asked to clean the room, but they only changed the towels, no bed sheets, no cleaning, no emptying rubbish bin.
Cleanest hostel I have ever been to. Comfortable bed, cool outlook room and not too crowded kitchen. It's cool to have a bar downstairs.

United StatesThis was a very affordable last minute booking for a long airport layover. Wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was beautiful. The staff very helpful and friendly. Convenient to have restaurant on site and the food was good & well priced. There was a tours desk which we wished we got to use as it was very convenient with affordable advertised pricing. It was cheap to Uber to town. Nice interior décor & vibes. Had everything we needed - will plan to stay here again.

United StatesA little on the pricier side for a hostel, but with the quality of the spaces I didn't mind.
I loved my stay here! The common spaces have such a cool vibe - connected restaurant is a great place to grab a bite (with a 10% discount). Beds are comfy & pods offer privacy. Feels safe and clean. Short walk to sky tower.

IrelandContact with the hostel was a little slow when we were trying to get our forgotten item posted. We were under time pressure though so this probably wouldn't be an issue for most people.
The kitchen facilities were very clean, as was the room and bathrooms. We forgot something in the room and the staff were very good to let us know before we even noticed. The on site restaurant and bar was really lovely and very good value as well.

United KingdomRooms have no windows - fine but a little odd and makes it hard to wake up! Kitchen shuts at 10pm and is very far from the rooms, so hard to get, for example, a cup of tea before bed or water. No hair dryers in the bathrooms.
Insane value for money as our room includes free dinner ($25 credit pp). The staff were great (shout out to Lexi) and location is super convenient. Very modern and spacious.

GermanyThe double room could do with a bit more furniture. 2 hooks, a chair and the bed doesn't really count as closet. Maybe you have to book the ensuit room for that. We had dinner included in our booking, which was mediocre at best. The bowl is good, burger ok, fries can be tough to chew depending if they are fresh or not. And the pizza is just underwhelming.
It seems to be pretty new. The chill lounge in the 2nd floor are a nice touch, considering we didn't like to spend our time in the room (no windows). Everything was very clean. The kitchen is for a hostel one as clean as it gets. In the off-season there's enough storage possibilities, even in the fridge.

CanadaIf you have a car, parking can be a bit tricky as you’ll have to be sure to get a spot in the paid parking lot next door (which is a little dodgy) or on the street where you will have to pay also.
Great hostel! Really pleasant and comfortable. Clean and modern yet simple - which is what one expects from a hostel. Seems well run. I would definitely stay there again.

New ZealandMy only issue was the location. It's not that easy to find...and because I have a medical condition. Finding it(walking) wasn't all that easy.
The hostel was awesome, the restaurant was superb. The staff all seemed so positive & relaxed. The rooms & facilities were amazing. A clean welcoming vibe that has definite potential for me to revisit. I will definitely stay here again.
