Lylo is one of the best hostels in Auckland! Pods give you privacy and the beds are really comfy. Not the most social hostel, but think this was maybe coz we're going towards winter. They do have bar/restaurant next to the hostel, and I really enjoyed the pub quiz haha. Very clean too, which I appreciate a lot! Will stay here again if coming to Auckland.

There was from the floor above for several nights. I don't know exactly what it was, but it sounded like people walking around.

Beds creaked when first sat down onto. Can get a bit hot in the pod if you shut the pod door, even with the fan on.

Great individual pods with a sliding door for privacy. Large lockers for each pod to keep your stuff secure. Great location for city centre activities and being picked up for tours.

Ordered the burger and pint deal for thr Monday special, was charged individually for them though. So an oversight on the staff member showing poor training Also, the pod assigned to me was already occupied so grabbed another one, but had an unsettling ache that I had taken someone else's

Great location, far enough away but silll close to town. The pods are nice, a little stuffy in a way that the fans don't quite deal with adequately for the noise they make. Great wifi.and lots of space to work away if you don't want to hang out in your pod

The best hostel i stayed in New Zealand. Great atmosphere, huge kitchen and dining area, wifi works very well, many bathrooms and showers, so never need to wait. Sleeping pods were very comfy.

Could use more hooks to hang belongings in the dorms and rooms and in the bathrooms. Soundproofing is very weak, so you can hear your neighbors in the pods. The pods also get quite hot at night, even with the fans on, and the fans could use a clean, too. Adding a drying area for hanging clothes to dry without the dryer would be very appreciated as it can ruin clothes. Note that there are no windows in the rooms, so it can be a bit disturbing if you like having natural lighting. Discounts for longer stays/extensions would be appreciated, too.

Confortable and clean beds, good privacy screens, big kitchen, and comfy lounge spaces. Globally clean and well taken care of. The staff is very helpful. Nice place to meet people! And good place if you need to sleep a lot (no windows in the bedrooms make you lose track of time)

It was really enjoyable here! Nice facilities to chill and work. We had everything what we needed. Lucys bar was great to start the day and end it, both! Friendly employees, nice and clean bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms. Would defenitely recommend.

The bed I had squeeked which was annoying but could have been worse.

The vibe of the place was great, and even though it is self check in we were greeted by a lovely guy who made us feel like queens. Good Location, very short walk to the Casino.
