My bed had a small clump of hair from the previous person or the cleaner who knows that came off to the blanket when I grabbed it. It’s not a big deal I can understand that it’s something that can be easily missed but it would have been much better experience for me if that didn’t happen.

Absolutely stunning common area. Comfortable bed. My dorm was nice and quiet. Facilities were clean and pretty. Locker was included.

One more time in Auckland, one more time in Lylo. I just can’t describe how much i loved this place. We first went 1 year ago and got the experiences of the pod’s, it was amazing! This time we went on a budget double room and was fantastic. The space, bed, shared amenities. Easy check-in, check-out, only 5 minutes walking from the sky tower, it’s just perfect. Staff is always nice & helpful. I always recommend Lylo, best place ever in Auckland, you won’t regret it.

Even though there is a fan, the air in the pod is getting a bit stuffy and warm, especially as the rooms have no windows.

Would be awesome to lend towels (I know they could be rented), and the dimmer in my pod didn't work so light was pretty bright. Wasn't sure how to check out but staff were able to advise.

Loved the atmosphere, and the wee cabin type bunks, lots of privacy and storage for your stuff. Feels super safe, staff so helpful and friendly. Good storage and amenities in bunks (plugs and such). Thanks!

We were there on Friday the 15th March around lunch time & we both had a delicious burger each. The lady who served us at Miss Lucy’s had extremely average service. She certainly didn’t look like she wanted to be there. I would give her a 2 out of 10 for service. For your feedback, there was no smile, an half mute intial recognition (very underwhelming), little eye contact & her body language was also not great. The lady maybe was having a bad day but it was well below par.

I did not feel that there were sufficient staff serving at breakfast time, especially with big tour groups. At times only one person was taking orders and making coffee which did mean you had to stand around waiting to pay and for your coffee to be made. I'd encourage you to put on more staff in the restaurant. It would be great to diversify the menu too for the evening meal as there were not a lot of healthy choices - mainly pizza and fried foods etc.

I was very impressed with the standard for a budget hotel. It has a modern feel and the room was extremely comfortable. The staff at check-in were really helpful.

Our room didn’t have a window which wasn’t a dealbreaker considering we were only staying 2 nights and there is a tv that shows the view from the roof. However, there wasn’t an option to select window room or internal room when booking.

I stayed in a double room with my partner. The room was clean and modern with just enough space for your stuff. There were warm cozy lights as an alternative to the main bright light which is a nice bonus from most hostel rooms. Bed was so comfy and the sheets were lovely. Definitely an upgrade to other hostels we stayed in! Great kitchen facilities and lovely bar downstairs.

The pods are properly separated, when you slide the noise absorbing panel on, it is actually quite quiet inside. Very clean and nice bathrooms. Big and well equipped common areas. Great location.

No windows in rooms, makes me think this hostel could be a death trap if there would be a fire. A bit noisy in the hang out area in evening because of the cafe also being a bar.

Clean, new and modern facilities. Easy to check in and out. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean sheets and beds. Spacious lockers in room that locks with key card. Nice cafe and reception area on the ground floor. Kitchen was also nice, but it was closed at 22.00-6.00. Nice laundry room.

Wrong question. Lylo is built and set up with the young 'back pack' traveller in mind and it suits that purpose admirably. For members of the older generation - it is just a different world - however, it accommodated us as best it could.

Covenienxce and friendly atmosphere. Definitely a young persons place - but we 80+ year olds found it very friendly.
