From start to finish our stay was amazing from the beautiful accommodation, absolutely stunning views and our gorgeous host Karen who goes over and above to make sure everything is perfect. The bonuses are great from the breakfasts to the hot home made bread and delicious homemade cookies! Karen is the best! Highly recommended

Great location directly on the strand and in the center of Russell. Perfect place to leave the car parked, relax in a beautiful inn and enjoy a walk along the beach. Breakfast was extra special on the deck. Karen, our host went out of her way to make this the best place we’ve stayed in our 6 week journey across NZ.

Karen was an amazing host, excellent communicator, and the homemade goodies were delicious. The accommodation was so cozy, and it really does live up to its name a wee slice of Paradise! I wish we could have stayed longer, and we will definitely be back.

Location was amazing! Host Karen was lovely and provided beautiful homemade goodies for breakfast - delicious! Apartment was so lovely the 2nd night we didn't even go out - just brought some nibbles and enjoyed the sunset from the terrace! Will definitely stay again!

Wish we could have stayed for longer and enjoyed the peaceful view.

Location is perfect overlooking the Russell waterfront. Breakfast was a delightful, wholesome continental and she even provided gluten free bread for my dietary requirements. The host was incredible and gave you plenty of privacy whilst also making you feel welcome.

So much to love about this place - the view, comfortable set up on the balcony, breakfasts of home produce, fresh bread fairy, so many thoughtful extras. Karen is the perfect host, and the balcony and view makes it an all weather spot.

We loved our stay at Russell and Karen's charming house. The view is breathtaking, and the quaint little town of Russel offers a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of excellent dining options. Karen is an incredible hostess—her breakfasts are delightful, and her beautiful home is truly a gem. We recommend this place to anyone looking for that little extra touch of Paradise. Staying at Paradise on the Strand is an experience not to be missed!

Unbeatable location right at the beach. We had the whole upper floor of a beautiful home looking out to the Russell harbour. Karen was a fabulous hots, she provided a nice breakfast, her self made bread and fruits during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at her wonderful home.

Karen looked after us so well, so friendly and helpful.Our beautifully prepared fresh fruit / yoghurt breakfasts and home made bread was absolutely beautiful,what a treat! We loved our accommodation,so clean and homely with everything you could ask for,along with a view to die for.. So many little finishing personal touches too,made our Wedding anniversary stay just perfect. We certainly plan to return,so please don't book it up for anyone else !🤣🤣 Thank you so Much Karen. We really enjoyed our few days at Paradise on The Strand. The location was perfect, our rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated and the views over the bay were incredible, especially at sunset. Karen was thoughtful, helpful with local advice and provided an excellent continental breakfast that we really enjoyed. We cannot speak more highly of our stay and would love to have been able to spend more time there.

Our experience with Karen at Paradise On the Strand surpassed all expectations... and after seeing the photos and reading the reviews, our expectations were high! This was the pinnacle of excellent lodging experiences during our 7 weeks in New Zealand. Karen provided just the right amount of friendly genuine engagement, and privacy. A short walk through the bush each morning took us to Long Beach to watch the sun rise, coffee in hand (coffee cart on beach). Sunsets were spectacular! BREAKFASTS were presented each day with abundance, freshness, creativity and variety; always delicious! Home-made yoghurt, honey from Karen's son's hives, AND warm bread just out of the oven for an afternoon tea surprise! We WILL return!
