Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This is the third Quest accommodation we have used on this trip and they have all been very good. Staff are helpful, the facilities are very good and the location is just what you want. Looking forward to the next time

The dryer was not tumbling, would only work with around 3-5 items inside, any more clothes inside and it would not tumble. This was seriously frustrating as I specifically booked accommodation with a washer/dryer due to long period of travel. The paint in the shower was peeling, and falling into the shower. Staff was advised when exiting the unit after our stay. The TV’s were too outdated, not having Netflix option.
The location of the property was great, in the middle of Nelson city. Close to the shops and food/cafes etc. Apartment was nice and clean, had a great layout. Good sized bedroom/wardrobe and comfy bed. Bathroom was a decent size.

There was no staff at check in and the member who arrived to help once I'd spoken through the intercom was short tempered and unapologetically rude at his miscommunication.

The pillows were awful, too soft and the bed was not great, again too soft or just worn out.
Great location, an easy walk to cafes and shops. Great room with all the facilities.

It is not the fault of the hotel that saturday night seems to be the time for certain individuals to gather behind the house and make noise for hours. But we would have appreciated a bit more help and knowledge from the receptionist on our enquiry as how to best get to Abel Tasman
The location is modern and perfectly equipped, including washing machine. Centrally located but quiet, everything is within walking distance, even the bus to the airport

Right in the city of Nelson and close to everything, also close to the airport to catch taxis. I thought the washing machine and dryer could be handy for travelers .The staff were very helpful and good value for money.

Need better instructions for washing machine dryer...we turned it on and then 4 hours later after we woke up at 1am it was still going!. We felt our clothes got to the stage were they were so hot that they could of combusted. We struggled to find how to override the lock.mechanism on the door of the machine to access it and only thru Googling did we find necessary information.
Location...able to have sliding door open as on 5th floor all night. The bathroom shampoo soap smelt gorgeous . Having a washing machine dryer in bathroom

Stay every year once or twice and last two visits paid for park ans came home after evening out and no park. Will probably look for something else next time because of this

Noise from back carpark
The hotel amenities and the staff were fine, but our room backed on to the council carpark which was surprisingly noisy from an early hour so we did not sleep too well.

Clean and comfortable modern hotel very centrally located. Good wifi comfy beds and parking. Good shower. Reasonably equipped kitchen for preparing light meals. Friendly and efficient reception staff.

The main light in the room was not working. It was fine with the lights I had. But would have been good if all facilities wor working. Also there was no Hotel parking available unless booked prior, had to use public carpark around the corner.

Parking is paid and we had a very small parking lot right at the door and our car is very big, we also had to wait for it to be vacated. Also when we arrived our room was not ready and we arrived long after the check in time.
