Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No hot water one morning - these things happen but an apology would have been nice.
Good location near the centre of Auckland. Comfortable bed, good shower and good-sized room. Parking building over the road if you don't use the property's own parking.

Some of the walls had terrible scuffing and marks on them, i noticed behind the curtains the window ledges and windows were quite dirty.
The beds were super comfy I wanted to take it home with us!

Kitchen could have been more standardised and better supplied with utensils, crockery and updated somewhat.

No hot water on arrival first day told 2 hours to fix it at 2pm, others told 3 hours at 9 am. I got a hot shower about 5pm. Bed too firm, we both got sore backs. The second day the lights relay had to be replaced by electricians as the lights continuously shut off the relay. We arrived at 12pm by bus from rotorua and even though being informed of this beforehand and two confirmation texts via booking.com that indeed the arrival time was 12 to 1pm the clerk was immovable about checking time. We went for a walk for a couple of hours and had lunch. Checking key was given at 1358 hrs. That floor was being completed when we arrived at 2pm so absolutely no flexibility in housekeeping times.
Facilities, it was a nice room with a good view of the sky tower from the lounge/kitchen and the bedroom. Location, a short walk to 3 convenience stores and a subway just outside the door and a short walk to some lovely restaurants. Quick problem solving by staff when the lights wouldn't stay on.

Location is what it is, some colourful characters outside but nothing to be too worried about ☺️ Whilst our car was large, the carparks are very very small, only a small hatch could fit. If you're coming with a hire car and the hire company offer you an upgrade to a bigger car - don't take it 🤣 After hours phone line needs some work, got bounced around 3 times before someone said they'd contact the duty manager.
The after hours duty manager was lovely! Upon check-in he helped us park our awkwardly large hire car and on our last night when we returned to find someone had taken our carpark, he assisted us in finding an alternative 😅 Clean, great shower, good bed, awesome movie library.

Difficult to cool down the room. Had to keep curtains closed as rooms very hot due to sunshine and no opening windows.
Excellent location. Well laid out. Shower was awesome. Having a washing machine was a bonus.

The whole place is beginning to look tatty. It appears as if little or no maintenance is being carried out. Scuffed walls, dented kitchen fittings, broken appliances, defective light bulbs - all easily fixed and yet not. Such a shame as this is in a brilliant central location across from the airport bus link, Sky Tower and a short walk to the harbour. I hope they refurbish it soon.

Very hard to get out of property with handing the key card in and trying to use the lift to get to the parking garage to exit. Can there be a box in the garage?

This was a one-night stay before leaving New Zealand. Our apartment was on the 21st floor, with a superb view of the CBD. Parking was difficult as it was located on the other side of the accommodation. Staffs were friendly but not helpful at all.

The apartment has a well worn out look to it. Whilst there is mention of renovation in the future, a handy person could easily fix the hanging kitchen cupboard with a screwdriver.

The property is a bit tired and as the company itself recognises, it could do with a refit. Curtains didn’t close properly and given apartment building right opposite there wasn’t much privacy.
Good location for the city and about 10 minutes walk to the harbour area. Well equipped for a city centre apartment.

Bed due for replacement. Basement car parks were quite tight for a large car.
Great size, separate bedroom, balcony with seating. Laundry and kitchen facilities. Reception friendly and helpful. Good location with subway and groceries next door.

Was a bit noisy early in the morning with truck deliveries, the dryer seems to take forever to dry a load, the interior probabilities needed new carpet & colour on the walls
Was good to have a bedroom & a seperate lounge space, the shower was the best we had all holiday
