Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

New ZealandOnly got 1 access Key tag, most places give you 2. That can be quite annoying when you need it to access the elevators and trying to go and pick up coffee for your partner in the morning while she stays in the apartment. Also I like to be able to use the stairs as access, but you could not use them as it said that the door was alarmed. I'd like to take the stairs where I can and not always have to use elevators.
Nice and sunny corner room. Located just off Queen Street so was very close to everything. Lots of free movies loaded onto the smart TV was an awesome touch. Love the fact that we had our own washer and dryer plus stove and oven if we needed to cook.

New ZealandCharges for three nights were debited to my credit card on expiry of the free cancellation period on 8 January. According to booking.com conditions, one night's accommodation should have been charged at that time and the rest paid at the hotel. This would have enabled us to pay by EFTPOS, as stated in the booking.com conditions. The savings of a few dollars' surcharge was not the problem, but the fact that the stated conditions were not met. We have previously been able to reverse the credit card payment and pay the full amount by EFTPOS at other accommodation places. The view across a building site made spending free time at the hotel undesirable.
Proximity to Intercity bus terminal, Aotea Centre, Art Gallery and Outer Link bus to Newmarket and Parnell.
