Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe room could have been cleaner, the water in the jacuzzi was not clean, and extra garbage bags were not provided in the room.
Location was superb. The facilities, like the jacuzzi, had privacy and a separate sitting area. Good for kids with a playing area and a deck to run around. Kind hosts who were very helpful in suggesting the places to visit and helped with extra requests, so 5 stars for the staff.

New ZealandNot the flashiest but modestly comfortable and clean .more like a back backers that encouraged socialization...that's actually very healthy for people...the gorge is a tourist attraction and certainly a beautiful location
Friendly down to earth management, appreciated the easy and interesting conversation. The spa was beautiful with blue dragon fly fairy lights in a rain forest setting.Lijed the turquoise colored duvet..added a freshness.

IsraelWe stayed 4 adults 2 nights . The place has several rows of lodges. We had a unit with two floors, two bedrooms with big beds, on the ground floor kitchen, living room with sofas and Tv,one bathroom, one shower room with hairdryer, free washing machine and dryer. On the second floor there was one double bedroom, bathroom with shower and toiletries.Right outside - our own private parking- big enough for our Ford Everst car. My son enjoyed the BbQ facilities outside the suite, in the compound.Right outside the place there was a pizzeria, the Fresh&Easy supermarket a few minutes far by car. We stayed two nights, experienced the beautiful waikato area and one of the volcanic view trek .Loved the Taranaki falls. Very enjoyable lodge.

New ZealandBunk bed was super squeaky so did wake us up when the kids were wriggling in the night.
The location was perfect as we came to do all the walks and exploring around the area. The cleanliness was great and staff were amazing, helpful and accommodating. The pool was a big hit with the kids!

New ZealandThe family rooms are different layouts... one has the kids bunk bed in the same room as the parents bed and also has a kitchenette in there. The other has a wall separating the parents bed from the kids bunk, however the kitchenette for that one is outside of the room in the hall. Just worth knowing if you want to book a particular set up. Both worked really well for our friends and us.
Fantastic location - directly across the road from the main bridge to the walks, very welcoming hosts who took the time to explain the best walks and swims, lots of little extras - 2 x spas, a firepit which we BBQ'd our dinner on, a massage chair an arcade game which the kids enjoyed. Lots of separate areas that guests can enjoy. The 2 family rooms are opposite each other, so it was perfect for going away with family friends... the kids could just step between the rooms freely.

New ZealandMy room this visit was very noisy (mainly people in the sitting area outside the window). This was not an issue when I stayed before.
Location was perfect for accessing Karangahake gorge. Very good value for money. I've stayed here before, and no doubt will stay again in the future.

New ZealandThe only draw back was the sound of trucks past all night long. Our room was so close to the road this was a problem and made for a poor sleep.
There is so much to do! There are 2 spas and a pool along with comfortable rooms that were clean. Our room had an ensuite, tv, toaster, plates, cups, bowls and cutlery a microwave and a jug. There were places to dry clothes as well as the use of a kitchen which had an oven, more fridge space and the use of pots and pans for cooking. The location was excellent with a fabulous mine was over the road. However the location did have its downfalls which are mentioned later.
