Sharing bathrooms was a bit out of the norm for me but totally doable. The cost per night reflecting the shared amenities.

Exceptional location across the road from the river and the many walking tracks. Super friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome and offered lots of information about the surrounding area.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Riverside accommodation. The staff and host were incredibly welcoming, helpful and warm. We enjoyed the experience of shared kitchen and lounge too, main reason is how at home we felt and how friendly everyone was. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed having use of The pool and spa pool. The massage chair in the lounge was so good! The place is at a great location. We were able to explore the walks around about and go swimming across the road in the gorge. We even spent an afternoon at Waihi beach. We loved our long weekend stay here.

The only thing would be no aircon in the room we were in. Very hot in there during the summer. The fan was a good, as long as you weren't on the top bunk.

Loved the facilities they had and all the open areas you could use. Liked the fact that they were close to the waterfall and walks. Rooms were nice and clean, cozy as well.

The shared kitchen was well equipped, but some areas could've been cleaner.

The room was very clean, spacious. We really liked the bed, it was very comfortable. Had our own fridge inside our room which was a plus.

I was very happy with everything about the place, I have no complaints.

I was welcomed at the door by the host who made me feel very welcome. She gave me a comprehensive rundown on the walks around the area, the facilities available for my use during my stay and local businesses which hired bikes etc. The facilities were very clean as was my room, the bed was very comfy. I very much enjoyed my stay.

The external area had a few cobwebs on the walls but it's a large accommodation and did not affect our stay.

Location was excellent in the Karangahake Gorge ideal for biking part of the Hauraki trail as well as easy access to do the Windows Walk which is spectacular. Rooms were clean with a great bbq facility and spa pool. Clean rooms and shared bathrooms. Excellent air conditioning in the rooms and comfy beds.

Noisy upstairs guest disturbed my sleep on second night.

The motel was child friendly and we had access to many amenities which l liked. Staff was friendly and helpful and accommodated our requests.

Outside bbq place i didn’t find water where to wash my hands, but the kitchen is near and that wasn’t a big deal.

The room was very spacious . The hot tub near to the bbq place was wonderful my kids and wife enjoyed it meanwhile i was making the bbq .

Our room was close to the main highway and we heard quite a bit of noise from trucks and traffic.

Anita, our lovely host is a passionate explorer and traveller with much knowledge about the local area. A super generous person who kept us warm with a beautiful fire in the guest lounge, a heat pump and wall heater in our room and two hot spa pools to choose from! The kitchen facilities were extraordinary and Anita made sure we had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay to explore the gorge.
