On entry the room was a little warm for our liking but opening the windows and popping the fan on soon sorted that.

Location right in town is an easy walk to anywhere you want to go but everything you need is in house so no real need to leave. Spacious room, comfy bed. Free parking onsite is perfect as is the simple but welcome continental breakfast - delish compote. Staff we encountered were fab and the restaurant with all the pub dinner faves was delish, our waitress was outstanding. Great value, great stay.

The shower over bath, dangerous for elderly guests. Lack of a lift to access the accomodation.

The council obviously decided 5am was the best time to start chopping down a tree on the road outside. The early morning wake up call was not ideal but no fault of the accommodation provider.

Stairs to get up to the rooms. But we understand that it is an old hotel so no lift. The staff were great carrying our bags up to our rooms.

Staying in a pub with a small number of rooms was ideal. Food was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Off road parking at the back of the hotel was great.

Great location with parking on site. A spacious en-suite room above an historic pub. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast and excellent evening meal. Beer was good too. Irish band playing in the bar as it was St Patrick’s day, but all was quiet at bedtime. An interesting little town.
