Stayed at Rm 2, ground level opp the bathroom. Close to Intercity bus dropoff/pickup point & supermart. Comes with lift so better to stay on upp floor rooms. The rooms hv no soundproofing. Can hear talking along the corridor and the slamming whenever the bathroom and room doors close. The motion sensors of the bathroom are outside the shower & toilet cubicles. Twice the lights went out while i was using the bathroom/toilet alone. The kitchen and pantry are well planned & spacious. Clear signages. Great view of L.Tekapo. Credos to the hardworking crew tt kept the bathrooms and kitchen/pantry so clean. Love the self-contained bunk. The room is stuffy with no aircon or fan. the 1/2 top.hung window had to be closed to keep flies out.

My first time staying in a hostel dorm room and it wasn't bad at all! The room was very small, but all you're doing is sleeping in it, so it works. The location is fantastic - kitchen and lounge look out on the lake and you're just a few steps away.

Loved my stay at Haka House! Super clean, modern, and really quiet, which was perfect for a good night’s sleep. The bed was super comfy, and I slept great. The kitchen is huge (even though I didn’t use it), and the whole place just has a nice, relaxed vibe. Would definitely stay again!

Everything was very clean- beds were very comfortable and well designed, the drying room is a godsend coming off from the TA trail, you can wash your pack and shoes and dry it in there

The shower/bathroom was average and the lock on the door was broken so not secure which was pretty dissapointing for the price for what is essentially a backpackersOn my 3rd day my food was thrown out which was contained and labelled the day i checked in however i was told the date was suppossed to be my checkout date which i was not told there was only a sign that said label food no specifics. The house keeping staff said the bag was empty however, it was not. along with my food, my travel containers and cutlery were thrown out too all the girl could say was sorry and wasnt helpful. Other than that the stay was awesome it was a shame it was tainted with something that could have been communicated clearer

Very clean, comfortable and well-thought-out room with ensuite bathroom, we were lucky to have considerate roommates so it almost feels like staying in a decent hotel for us. The kitchen is spacious with a lot of space and a stunning view. It is social and well-maintained. This should be a role model for all the hostels. 10-10

The location is just beside intercity bus stop and a couple of mins to supermarket, a quite good location. The kitchen is very well equipped and maintained and cleaned. i was surprised to see rice cooker provided. The kitchen has beautiful lake view. The shared bedroom has curtain and shelves. i will recommend this hostel to stay.

Location! So beautiful to be able to look over the lake through those big windows. Facilities were spacious and clean and the kitchen had everything you needed.
