Lovely. Only stayed one night. Fairly central. Walk to bus station is a bit sketch with people but can’t be helped due to it being a city. Overall great facilities and great price. No towel provided or curtain. But it was good and clean and had a guitar and billiards.

It's not the staff cleaners- they are great, but some guests make the facilities messier than is thoughtful. But I can't complain - i just go to a different floors facilities.

There are not too many stores or cafes nearby and no events to socialise

The hostel is big and cleam. My room was nice, it had a fridge and a fan. The bed was comfortable. Located not too far from the city center. It also had a common area with games. For the price it is a good place to stay in.

The showers were very low in height, very noisy everyone could hear the pipes when someone turn the shower on full power, but they were good water pressure and clean. Very little space to put stuff on like hooks or a shelf because of this someone left a hairdryer in the sink. Room was very warm but there was a fan which did its best.

Beds are really hard, made my butt fall asleep too. That's a first. Moldy curtains from being damp I think. Loud at night because it's kind of a bad neighborhood with drunks outside, but I still felt safe.

Staff is great, helpful and nice! Rooms are minimalistic with fridges, which is good. There are fans and windows open.

I know that central Auckland can be a noisy place, but I did find the shouting from drunks or whoever in Greys Ave throughout the night disruptive to a sound sleep.

The Chinese girl (from Habin) on Reception was absolutely lovely... very helpful. I like staying at the YMCA - it's handy to central Auckland and the facilities are all that I need for each stay. It's never too crowded, so toilets and showers remain clean and fresh.

Room was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful! The only thing that I would say is that I went with my friend.. and the female bathrooms were down a level? So I would definitely go again but would ask to be on a floor with female toilets and showers!

Room is ok. A bit smaller than what we expected.

The location is great. 15 min walk from the main city center. We when to coldplay concert at Eden Park and it was perfect. 20 min walking distance. Showers are great.

Nothing I didn’t like but would suggest putting up a sign on more info in the laundry room for pricing and the times for both washing machine and dryer cycles for the guests :-)
