Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyVery nice hotel with very friendly staff. I was even given a room update to a bigger room. The area is so safe that I walked alone through the alleys to old town (20 min.) at night. They are building out the areas and garden.

BelgiumThe mattress wasn't comfortable at all and it was a little bit noisy at night. The breakfast schedule didn't allow us to sleep enough in the morning, they should extend it. The breakfast wasn't that good. On the first day we had Omani breakfast and we didn't eat it because we didn't like the "balaleet', they gave us some fruit but we were still hungry. The day after we had an amazing breakfast and we told them... unfortunately on the last day, it was balaleet again. They should have taken in consideration our choices but they didn't. Too bad. The bathroom was also smelly. Not enough furniture in the room : not table nor chair nor mirror... one of the room didn't have window.
We had the family room so we had plenty of space and the location is very nice. The garden is absolutely lovely !

FranceThe kettle had a European plus so I couldn’t plug it in in the room. The breakfast was supposed to be 7-9am but it was late and started closer to 7.30. Just small things, overall we enjoyed a lot
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful with lots of little areas to sit and a play area for the kids. The breakfast was good! And the staff were really friendly and helpful. The staff upgraded our room when we arrived and went out of their way to help us and accommodate the kids!

ItalyAl Bayan Palms is still a new accomodation with a great potential. The stuff is really nice and they really want their customers to feel happy. Few small tips: - to provide 2 towels per person (one big and one smaller) in the room - to provide an hair dryer - to improve the WiFi signal - to inform customers ahead about the breakfast choice to avoid wasting food and, if possible, provide some fruit jam for the bread
- The staff is really nice and friendly - Good location: 20 Min walking from the souq - Big and relaxing garden where it is possible to chill out and have breakfast too - We didn't use the swimming pool but it seems clean - They offer traditional omani breakfast, you won't starve! We were not up for chicken wraps in the morning so we didn't eat it: for the future it would be nice to know what is included to avoid wasting food - Good value for the price - Parking is not an issue: they helped us to find a spot in front of the main entrance

PolandA very pleasant place to stay. There is a clearly marked entrance to the property where you can also park safely. Large grounds with a small indoor swimming pool and plenty of greenery and places to relax. Just a few rooms of different categories tastefully furnished. We slept in the Luxe room. Clean and fresh. A new place on the map, and the service tries very to make your stay pleasent. Very nice breakfasts in local style. There is no buffet, but you certainly won't go hungry. I definitely recommend it.

Czech RepublicAccommodation is very fine, clean and silence although it is in the centre of Nizwa. Housekeeper is a extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast is served in tradition style, it is very tasteful and delicious! Parking is possible in area of hotel. The hotel has green and silence place with trees, plants and water. The hotel is near the centre (Nizwa Suq, Fort) - it's about 15 min on foot. There is also café here. I very recommend this accommodation.

BelgiumWe were disappointed by the breakfast menu who is quite limited in options (one boiled egg, one grilled hot dog, two toasts, industrial jam and honey, one bowl of chickpeas and some fruits). We would have liked a bit more variety such as cake, yoghurt, water, scrambled eggs, juice or any other thing. Also, some basic equipment are lacking in the room (bin, electrical plug, etc)
The room is spacious and modern. The garden of the hotel are well maintained and nice to wander in. The hotel was empty so we got a free room upgrade. The hotel is quite close by foot to the city center which offers a great variety of restaurants and coffees.

GermanyThe shower is the whole bathroom. Very, very tiny. Moldy. Dirty sink. Sink faucet wobbles and is temporarily fixed with a lot of silicone. The drain was full of hair so the water could not drain away easily. Even more mess in that “bathroom”. Noisy fridge und ac. You also hear the ac noises outside. The outside light could not turned off. It was always very bright during the night. Very disturbing. In general the facilities appeared untidy. For a Deluxe room, which was definitely not cheap at all, was it absolutely disappointing! Too far away from the center.
