Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicThe camp is small and basic but for us fully sufficient. We were alone in the whole camp. Maybe is even better than the bigger luxurious camps. The whole place and the desert is heavenly quiet. I got so mesmerized by the dunes in the evening that I lost orientation and came to another place. Had to call Salim and he came to pick me up. Then we had dinner (about 5 riyals) - grilled meat, delicious lentils, rice etc. Dates, coffee, tea and water is free for the whole time of your stay. The owners were really nice and hospitable. I recommend this stay.

PolandFood is not worth its price, but it was very nice to eat dinner and talk with owners and other travelers...
It was OK. We found here everything we were looking for: quiet, peace, starry night, nice dunes...

United KingdomCommunicating on pick up wasn't great and the time kept changing. It gives you a flavour of the desert but worth going in further to really experience it.
Good value for a desert stay but it is very close to town. Comfortable and clean beds even during a rain storm. Good value for money compared to other stays.

Brazilthey didn’t have much to do- no sandboard, no nothing to play around the dunes, and when we got there we were alone and nothing to do, so it would’ve been good to have something to do the owner could’ve lighted up the fire for us to enjoy the camp a bit more, or cooked something, but instead, dinner was brought like a takeaway food.
at the time I booked, I liked the price. however I saw it after and the price had increased. the beds are nice, and bathrooms are clean.

PolandThe camp is not located very deep in the desert, but for those who want a one night experience of a desert camping, it is a very good option. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, the tents and beds are very clean, the dinner was very tasty. The camp is located just by a hudge dune , great place to climb in the sand observe the sun set and sun rise . The cap is a convenient option for those who do not have a 4x4 drive car, the stuff will come and pick you up from a meeting point free of charge and then bring you back to your car. Dates, and ginger tea, omani coffee and water are available at all times for free.

United KingdomVery expensive dinner - 6 riyal for shawarma and some veggie food that was ordered from outside.
Close to road, very friendly hosts and free pickup. Good sunset and sunrise views. They offer dune bashing though I didnt try this.

ItalyThere is no pannel with the camp name and all the camps look the same, so it is very difficult to find it by yourself (Salim and his brother helped when called on their mobile). Being closed to other camps you get the noises from other people (a group of tourists decided to play volleyball at 3.00 a.m. !!!!). Difficult to enjoy the silence of the desert.
Salim, the owner, has been very kind. Dinner was very good. We could light a fire during the night and look at the stars. The camp is closed to the dunes, if you climb them at sunset the panorama is wonderful. We were alone in the camp which makes the experience more interesting than being in group of tourists.

NetherlandsBeds are (too) small for European person. Sheets were a little dirty and bedding barely enough for colder nights. Food also was very basic, should be better for the price. Food is also being delivered (with lot of plastic) instead of being prepared on site.
Very cozy camp in the desert with proper Bedouin tents for the real experience. The owners are really nice people willing to help and chat , very friendly. Location not too far jnto the desert but with real desert experience.

OmanThe fact that the location can only be reached with a 4x4 car, but this is solved by the owner by providing a free transportation from the nearby public parking to the camp site in a spacious 4x4 car.
Nice location with amazing view, staff were friendly and very helpful, and exceeded our expectations.
