We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsI booked a room with a mountain view, but I didn't get one.. we got a second floor with my room facing the restaurant next to it. I think the people in the restaurant were the ones who got 'the view'. But i didn't want to be a Karen/Kevin about it, since we knew we would spend most of our days outside. But yeah, could have easily been a perfect score If I got what I booked for. Oh another thing, the pillow was too big and too hard for us.
Mostly we're outside, but we slept well. The room was spacious. Separate kitchen, separate living room. The staffs were friendly too.

United StatesBreakfast could have had more options. It wasn’t bad just very small. Also the pillows were very stiff, we wished they had two types of pillows for guests who prefer softer pillows.
Loved the large 3 bedroom suite. Perfect for our family of six. Was surprised they had a washer/dryer combo. This helped so much for our family.

United Arab Emirates1. It’s situated next to a main road/highway and the windows aren’t sealed properly for sound which meant you could hear cars and traffic nonstop. 2. The added breakfast option was mediocre in terms of options. That could certainly be improved. 3. No separation either through floor level or by stoppers of the wet and dry areas in any of the bathrooms which meant that water would flood the entire bathroom after someone took a shower.
Stayed in the three-bedroom suite for 3 nights as a family of five adults. It was extremely spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had all the basic pots, pans and dishes, as well as a microwave, huge fridge, induction stove and oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. The beds were firm and extremely comfortable, living and dining area was spacious as well. They had basement parking available as well as outdoor parking. It’s also located next to a lovely Syrian restaurant which has great food and the area also has several jewelers shops, banks, atms etc. which came in handy.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Muscat, Oman, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's charm, prime location, and the exceptional level of service it offered. The hotel's location is truly a gem. Situated in the heart of Muscat, it provides easy access to various attractions and conveniences. With everything one could need available within close proximity, from shopping centers to local eateries, the DoubleTree by Hilton stands as an ideal hub for both leisure and business travelers. What truly sets this establishment apart is its dedicated and courteous staff. The professionalism displayed by the entire team was exemplary. A special shout-out to Abdullah and the rest of the receptionist staff, who went above and beyond to make my stay seamless and memorable. Their warmth and eagerness to assist were truly commendable. The accommodations were both comfortable and elegant, reflecting the hotel's commitment to providing a luxurious experience. The room was impeccably clean, and the amenities provided were of the highest quality. The highlight for me was the well-maintained swimming pool, offering a refreshing escape from the city's heat. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The culinary experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton was exceptional. The healthy breakfast options provided a great start to each day, catering to a range of dietary preferences. The array of fresh and delicious choices left me feeling energized and ready to explore the city. The attention to detail in every meal was evident and greatly appreciated. BahrainBooking Review: We recently stayed in a two-bedroom suite at this hotel for the Ironman Muscat race. First of all, the room itself was excellent—spacious, clean, and very comfortable. It was large enough to accommodate our visiting friends for meals and gatherings, which made our stay even more enjoyable. However, our experience with the staff was extremely disappointing. We had a serious issue regarding water bottles, which is something so basic that no hotel should make guests struggle for it. Since we were taking supplements for our race, we needed extra water, so we called for more bottles. To our shock, we were refused. When my friend and I went to the reception, we were extremely kind and polite—we simply asked for water. But the response we received was rude and unprofessional. One of the older staff members refused to give us any and told us that the hotel only provides two bottles per room per day, and if we wanted more, we should go to a supermarket and buy it ourselves. We were completely shocked by his attitude. We even told them that we would be writing a review about this situation, and instead of trying to resolve the issue, their response was basically “Go ahead and write one”—as if they didn’t care about guest satisfaction at all. This level of disrespect and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. In any decent hotel, guests should be able to request basic necessities like water without being treated poorly. Because of this terrible service, we will not be staying here again. We had originally planned to book this hotel for future races, but after this experience, we are canceling all plans and will choose a hotel that actually values its guests. If you’re looking for good service and professionalism, we do not recommend this hotel.

GreeceMany things went wrong during our stay at Double Tree. Upon arrival we asked the reception to help us communicate with a local car rental agency (in their native language as they didn’t speak good English) and she straight up denied by saying that she has already contacted them the previous day for other guests and they didn’t have any cars available for rent. That caused us a lot of inconvenience since we couldn’t talk directly to them and find out if they have a car or not. On the third day of our stay our en-suite bathroom flooded and the toilet was blocked which made it impossible to use but also generated an awful toxic smell which we couldn’t tolerate since we had a small baby in the room. The housekeeping manager was amazing and immediately moved us to a different room and asked her colleagues to help us move our luggage since we had the baby and needed help but in the end nobody offered us any help at all. The last straw however was the fact that upon arrival we gave them our Revolut card to pay for the stay but what they ended up doing was block the whole sum of money and not actually charging it. On our last day we had a very early check out at 4 in the morning and we went to reception to return the room cards and they informed us about the fact that the room wasn’t paid and that’s when we realized what had happened. However, We wanted to pay by Revolut but we couldn’t since they had blocked the money. We ended up paying with a foreign card and they charged us for the transaction even though it was their fault we couldn’t pay by Revolut. We asked for a refund of the transaction fee but of course they didn’t accept. Of course this incident took quite a bit of time and we had to rush to the airport to make it on time for our flight and it caused as additional stress and anxiety. Long story short, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to other guests. The reception was overall the exact opposite of helpful.
