Had to wait 3 hours to get room keys to one of our other rooms. Not very good considering we hardly slept overnight due to an overnight flight, then only for the hotel to have to not have the beds ready upon arrival.

Clean property with plenty of restaurants nearby. Good housekeeping.

Shortly after my arrival at the hotel, I settled into my room and slept due to fatigue. Upon waking and after a shower, I noticed a mild itching sensation across my body. Initially dismissing it as a minor reaction to environmental changes, I was alarmed to find the itching intensified over the next few days. It became so severe that my skin turned red from continuous scratching. Seeking immediate relief, I turned to a local pharmacy and was prescribed a medication named TELFAST. The medication provided temporary relief, allowing me to continue with my travel plans to Karachi, Pakistan. Unfortunately, upon my arrival, the itching became unbearable, prompting an emergency hospital visit. The attending physician and a consulted Allergist deduced, after a thorough examination and blood tests, that the severe allergic reaction likely originated from the bedding or blanket at the Ibis Hotel Muscat.
