It was an absolutely stunning stay! The desert, the camp, Rashid as a host - everything was perfect! More than recommendable! I would definitely go there again!

This was an exceptional experience spearheaded by the host Rashid. He was a kind, generous and humerous host, ensuring all guests were comfortable and happy. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the area and we really enjoyed chatting with him. Dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations, the food was delicious and plentiful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with private bathrooms including showers. There were lots of options for additional excursions but we never felt pressured to do any. We only had a 2WD and the meeting point and transfer to the camp was smooth and Rashid was quick to reply to questions in advance. I highly recommend staying with Rashid and I would definitely stay again.

Rashid Desert Camp is absolutely amazing! We loved everything and enjoyed every moment. Tent is huge, very comfortable beds, great view (distant from the nearest city). Perfect location, really calm and silence place. Relaxing site with amazing people working there. Rashid and Ahmed are very kind to guests, they make everything easy and enjoyable, plus they are so much fun to be around :) They really know what they are doing.

Can't think of anything.

I had this place and a couple others camps down to the wire, on which place I should stay at, in the end I chose this place. Once experiencing it I was happy with my decision. You get a more private experience at this place compared to others as there are are less tents and people, this goes a long way and you won't see this in the description or know this until you are there. Rashid goes out of his way to make your stay very enjoyable, like a true Omani. The other bonus that this place has over others is that its at the top of some of the highest dunes you can stay at; which is good because their is less dune climbing for you. PLUS driving up to the tents is so much fun in the rental (its not hard, just keep your momentum). Dune bashing was amazing and same with the camel ride. Thanks again Rashid.

- Slightly mouldy smell in our tent during our first night, probably due to the rain the previous night. As rain is very rare, this should not be a frequent issue

- Rashid is an amazingly welcoming host and great entertainer - Activities organised by the camp include dune bashing, camel riding, desert safari, and more - Food is tasty and plentiful

Unfortunately the carpet in the tent was wet and had a little smell, but that was due to a heavy rain storm the night before we arrived.

An amazing experience! Rashid and his team are incredibly nice and warm welcoming. The location of the camp is great. We did the dune bashing and carting. It as absolutely stunning from the first till the last moment

That I couldn’t stay longer in Oman to spend an extra night there 😜 No really, nothing I disliked.

One of our best nights in Oman. The tent we had was very big, the bed comfortably and I had the best night of sleep there. The dinner and breakfast are very tasty. Great dunes for watching sunrise & sunset. Rachid is an exceptional host. He will make you feel like family. I couldn’t have wished for anything more. It was a truly extraordinary experience :) The host Rashid is a wonderful man who fulfilled all our requests and desires. The resort is located in a charming place, in the middle of beautiful dunes, where there is peace and quiet. The resort has a whole set of attractions - whatever you dream of! We took a camel sunset trip and it will be an unforgettable experience. The food - delicious, the service - extraordinary, the place - wonderful. Location of the desert was excellent! Rashid is a fantastic host. He cares to meet us at a designated place to take us in to his camp! Both dinner and breakfast was excellent. He even offered to drive us to an excellent spot to watch sunset upon our arrival and fetch us back immediately after the sun has setted as promised!. We would definitely highly recommend friends and family to stay in his camp. We rate the location of his desert 10/10 with beautiful sand dunes around! excellent and enjoyable stay in Rashid camp with great hospitality by Rashid!

We loved EVERYTHING ...Rashid is the funniest, nicest guy you would ever meet. We could only drive a little of the way in our 4x4 towards Rashids camp then he had to come and rescue us. We left our rental where we stopped and went the rest of the way in Rashids landcruiser. Nothing is a problem for Rashid...he is all helpful fun and sincerely wants you to have the best time. ...which we did. Only stayed 1 night and did not want to leave. Shukran Rashid.

Rashid is an amazing host and treated us like family. His tents are spacious, well-equipped and pure luxury in a beautiful and quiet spot middle of the desert. The food was the best one we had on our trip. We had a great time with dune-bashing and learning more about camels during the early morning camel school activity with Rashid. We can’t wait to come back again!

I’ve done desert experiences in Iran, Jordan, Australia and now in Oman. This one has by far been my favorite, and one of the highlights of my Oman trip. Rashid is a lovely human being who makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. Don’t miss a sunset activity like quadbiking or dunebashing.

This was a truly incredible experience. Rashid treated us like family while me my husband and 2 kids stayed at his camp. If you are looking for an immersive and serene desert experience go here! We enjoyed a camel ride for the sunset and a nice fireplace chat before dinner. The room was very spacious. Our little ones were able to enjoy the swing and run around to their hearts content. The camp is good value for money. Rashid's hospitality was top notch. A friendly host who could not do enough for us. Thank you Rashid. The camp is conveniently located on the edge of the desert. Its located away from the main desert road so plenty of peace. The camps are comfortable and the sunset and sunrise views are amazing from the highest dune which was next to our tent. Rashid knows the his part of the desert like the back of his hand, we went dune bashing and he knows his stuff. The food was good. Thank you Rashid, see you soon.
