Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelarusThe dunes passion tour, I would take more walks instead, the tour was not worth the money.
Exceptional experience - I left the place regenerated and renewed. Felt the power of nature and desert. Great camp, luxury service and care for guests. Don’t save money on pick up, only 15-20% of guests make it to remote camps themselves, trust local drivers and invest this money.

This is very romantic place. We love the most staying near campfire and watching stars. Personel was very kind and I recommend this camp very much since the camp was not full of people actually we were alone there, so we can enjoy the silence and romance.

AustriaWe had troubles to find the location of the camp (the description says navigate to Al Reem but there are several Al Reem camps on Google maps) We luckily met some young locals which guided us half way to the camp and passed us to our dune driver from the tour we booked. They local helpers demanded 30 OMR for their time (it took around half hour) So it would have been better for us to book the pick up/drive to the camp directly at the host in the first place already. We would have saved time, money and trouble. The drive with our 4x4 and deflated wheels was ok and required medium driving skills. In the early morning there were lots of airplanes causing quite some noise. But I guess this will be noticeable in all camps in this area.
The dune bashing trip was amazing and is highly recommended. The driver was very friendly and organized a 2 1/2 hours tour with stops in the desert and at a lovely Bedouine Family with their dromedars. We were warmly welcomed and stayed there for 20 min, petting the dromedars and taking pictures and playing with their kids Afterwards we hit some big dunes again. I felt a bit seasick but was better in the eve Back in the camp: Raoul was the best host we met in Oman. He made us delicious meals and lit a bunfire. Always giving us enough space to relax and enjoy the calm desert. The tents were spacious, the bed was cosy and temperatures were great. Not too cold at night, not too hot daytime. We can absolutely recommend this camp.

CanadaFor us, the food served at breakfast was a challenge. We will have appreciated to have an option a little more international.
At this camp, we really had the feeling to be in the middle of the desert. The people taking care of us were very nice and friendly. However, the communication in English was difficult with some of them.

OmanIf you are not an experienced off-road driver, you might want to save yourself the trouble of finding the place yourself. The GPS took us around in circles for ages. We enjoyed trying, but after 2 hours of being lost and nearly getting stuck (our babies were fed up), we eventually gave up and went back to the first meeting point and paid the 20 riyals (expensive but worth it in my opinion). Another couple who stayed at the same camp made it themselves. So, if you are looking for an exhilarating adventure and don't have children, then give it a try!
This place is magical! So quiet and secluded. The stars can be seen at night, and the dunes are enchanting. Every structure here is aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable to eee and be around. Taking a walk in the dunes was so much fun and just exploring! The tent was huge and so comfy and beautiful. An absolute joy to experience! I expected to see rodents, lizards or bugs and was met with nothing (don't know if it was just the time of year). The place is squeaky clean. The open air shower is so refreshing (no water heater) and fun! The towels were sparkling clean and smelled amazing! The food is good! And Raouf (the server) was the kindest person ever. He should really be given a badge of honor. His service and attentiveness was incredible. The tea and coffee were so good and always available. It's very child friendly, they brought a whole bag of toys for my babies to play with as well as coloring books and crayons! The children loved playing in the sand and exploring. The extra mattress and blankets were so comfy for the babies as well! If you take the transport service, it's like a dune bashing experience! Very fun!

BelgiumWe did the bedouin tour and would recommend however would be nice if the guide could speak better english so we could get some more information.
Raouf is the star of this desert camp providing all guests with a wonderful welcome and taking good care of them during their stay. Great rooms, nice food. We really enjoyed the campfire after dinner and waking up for sunset in the morning - the open air bathrooms are also a fun experience!

GermanyWe had one night at the legend desert Camp. It was a wonderful experience. The Camp is really beautiful , the arrangement of the Camp with the different tents ( sleeping, dining, relaxing) as well as the tents by themselves. Everything is decorated with love down to the last detail and absolutely tidy. Dinner and breakfast are very good, freshly prepared and attracively presented. The service by Raouf is perfect. He knows how to pamper the guests in a discreet and heartwarming way ( serving water, when he sees us coming back from our walk on the dunes, explaining animal tracks,…) In one sentencen: it could not have been nicer! Thank you and take care!

NetherlandsYou need to pay extra for the transfer, and I really doubt you could find this camp on your own as it is located in the middle of dunes. So this seems a bit unfair, just include transfer in the price!
Fantastic camp, in the desert, far from any roads and light pollution. The hosts were the sweetest people, they did their outmost best to make sure guest feel comfortable. Food was good, views fantastic, very calm atmosphere. It is getting quite cold at night, so don't forget to pack some warm clothes for sleeping.

OmanThe bed was too hard for my old back :)))
The camp is situated in a beautiful and picturesque location, away from noise and people. A wonderful place to meditate and truly feel the desert. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. The tents are ascetic but very nicely furnished in Bedouin style. Most of them have separate bathrooms. Generator power is available in the evening hours when you can charge batteries, phones, etc. I remembered the evening with the unusually tasty barbecue, the white color of the sand reflecting the moon, and the wonderful fire after dinner... And the morning, with the mystical fog, gradually melted by the sunrise. An amazing experience!

NorwayThe pick up point was a bit hard to find. May be some bigger signs and more clear information about the pick up could help. It all worked out well in the end, but we we spent some time finding the right place.
My wife and I had a great, great stay at the Legend Desert Camp. The staff was polite and hard working, we felt very well taken care of! Also the facilities were great with amazing peace and quiet desert vibe. The food was very good and the camp fire was great. We will definitely recommend this place!

United Kingdomnothing!
The location was gorgeous and the tents were spotless and so beautiful. Raouf and Juhel were the most wonderful of hosts, they made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much. They managed to perfect the balance between leaving us to enjoy the tranquility and ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and it was lovely that Faisal the manager popped in one evening to check that everything was as we wanted. It was! An absolutely magical couple of days, thank you.
