My girlfriend had a bad experience trying to enter the hotel at night, since no one was at the front desk .

Stuff was super slow and more focused to chat with friends than checking us in. We arrived at 14.00 and they told is 14.30 checkin is not correct its later. We had to wait until 15.00 and rooms were still not fully prepared. Location is out of town town and far away from old town

There is always someone at the desk and the check in process was easy. Bare minimum rooms with one small full-size bed and a dirty wardrobe we weren’t comfortable using since there was trash and dirt in the drawers, in addition to mold on the wall behind the bed. It is a busy neighborhood in addition to the construction next door, generating a lot of dust and noise. The young gentlemen that checked us in was super nice and helpful. I would encourage management to invest a little more thought in the rooms for the comfort of the guests.

Excellent staff, particularly the young lady who helped us get our laptop charged and allowed us to check in early. Much appreciated! The location is great, close to lots of good bars and restaurants as well as a large supermarket. The rooms are really big and very comfortable, as well as spotlessly clean. WiFi is pretty good.

Not really clean and quite simple. The common area was mostly deserted. Unfortunately no hostel vibe coming up.

There was a window in the bathroom so everyone can see you when you shower. Cockroaches in the room (guess there are everywhere). Not a fun neighbourhood.

Good price for a large room. Location is safe. Wheelchair friendly, which we didn’t need but it’s cool that they have the option.

The bathroom had no shower-mat and the floor was very slippery - Definitely would be dangerous and I would advise caution if you are going to be drunk or intoxicated in the bathroom, as I nearly slipped a few times when I was sober. The floor in the room was quite dirty and filthy with dust and dirt from shoes, also the bedroom floor was slippery too! The bed and pillows were not the most comfortable. I actually walked out and went to stay in another more comfortable and cleaner hotel, where there was a shower-mat and the floors were no where near as slippery!

Great location within the centre of Panama City. The hostel is close to a very cheap, quick and efficient laundrette! The price of the room is inexpensive and matches the quality you pay for. The WiFi was excellent.

There is nothing that we did not like as everything was better than expected. The accommodation is clean, organized, neat, and helpful. The staff allows one to feel comfortable and at home as soon as possible.

Blu Hostel is highly recommended. We booked a room with a self-contained kitchen and private bathroom, which suited our needs perfectly. The little kitchen had a full gas stove (and oven), fridge/freezer, sink, basic pots, pan, crockery, and cutlery so perfect to make small meals in the room. The bathroom (shower, toilet, and sink) is small and clean with towels included. The air conditioner works very well in the room as Panama is consistently hot and humid. The Blu Hostel staff are friendly and helpful, and all speak English which helps a lot. The hostel location is perfect in terms of numerous supermarkets, restaurants, copy shops, medical offices, and much more. It is also within walking distance to a subway station, bus routes, taxis and Ubers. The hostel has a 'no noise' policy for evenings so that everyone is able to get a good night's rest in the comfort of their rooms. The hostel offers a reliable drop-wash-dry laundry service ($6 per big load) which normally takes day and a half. The hostel offers different types of rooms etc to suit different traveler needs. The hostel staff leaves you be and ask when you would like cleaning or any assistance. The hostel offers free basement parking but please bear in mind that some pick-ups/cars may not fit the height restrictions. The hostel front entrance and parking is always locked to ensure safety for all guests.
