Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe best place to stay in Santa Fe! The rooms all have cable TV, great Wi-Fi, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Ricardo and his son Ricardo Jr. (they speak English) are wonderful owners/hosts and offer awesome tours of the mountain trails, waterfalls, river rafting and more! Close to everything in Santa Fe. Don't bother looking at other hotels...this is the place! Great rates too😄

United StatesThe road getting there is a mix of bumpy washboard gravel alternating with many many potholes on the paved stretches. The road is being repaired. It'll be great when it's done. I was told 6mo, but I suspect it'll be more like 12mo. It took about 90 minutes to drive the last 20 miles. Santa Fe will benefit from this new road with more people willing to make the drive.
This property is so beautiful with plants everywhere. Several casitas surround the pool. Guests are welcome to use the well equipped common kitchen/dining area. Very peaceful. Ricardo is a gracious and friendly host. I really enjoyed the hike/waterfall tour he took me on. This excursion included a visit to the home of an indigenous family who served us lunch after Miguel, the man of the house, led our hike. They had hand carved bowls and wooden animals, hats, and beaded bracelets for sale. I spied 2 pieces of artwork done by their talented son. I love collecting local art on my travels. I asked and was allowed to purchase them and later found out they weren't part of the sale. The hike was a good workout with several beautiful waterfalls.... even in the dry season. Ricardo recommended 2 restaurants that really lived up to his recommendation. All in all, Rainforest Yasmin Hotel is a lovely place to lay your head if you can tolerate the last 20 miles of very rough road to get there.

SpainNot really a didn't like, just a suggestion: little splash of water on the sunbeds by the swimmingpool in the morning to make them spotless for the day would be lovely 😉
Loved the stuff, Ricardo was super helpful and willing to recommend things to do. All that whilst taking care of us and giving us hints on behaviour in the panama jungle ;)

It does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s clean, comfortable and central to Santa Fe. Ricardo, the host is as welcoming as always ( this is the second time we’ve stayed here), including making the coffeee in the morning - delicious.

United StatesThe drive from Santiago to Santa Fe is not for the faint of heart. The road is in terrible condition and makes for very slow going.
The owners hospitality was wonderful. We were greeted and personally shown around our room and the hotel's amenities. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The owner was very helpful with questions and also recommendations on what to see, do, and where to eat.

CanadaI liked everything
The owners & their son were exceptionally helpful in recommending & providing directions for hiking, restaurants, and activities to do while in Santa Fe. I arrived thinking I had reserved a typical hotel room. Imagine my delight when I discovered that it was a stand alone, tiny house. It was refreshing to use the pool after a long hike (I showered before using the pool). The pool was always clean. The location of the hotel was within walking distance of the town center but far enough away to provide a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

CanadaGreat bungalows set around the pool, just off the centre of beautiful Santa Fe in the mountains of Panama. The property has a fully working communal kitchen that we used every night. Yasmin and Ricardo are both very friendly and welcoming.

SpainYasmin and her family and workers are extremely nice people. They genuinely care about their guests and made us feel at home from the first day on. They are knowladgeable about the area, giving advice about what to do and also organise tours. The hotel has a big, clean, well equipped kitchen, beautiful chillout places and a nice pool to enjoy. We had car issues and had to extend our stay. The family went above and beyond helping us and sorting everything out for us. I absolutely recommend staying here!

United StatesOnly one electric outlet in the room, none in the bathroom. One plug was for the refrigerator, so the other one had to be shared for charging our phones, use of the fan any other electric needs.
Very comfortable and clean. Great coffee in the morning! If you have time, take Recardos tour to the waterfalls and down to the Caribbean for lunch. We will be back again!

PanamaLike staying with family - rustic but very clean accommodation. Comfortable beds, good wifi, loved the shared kitchen and communal area, also the pool was clean. Ricardo and his wife were superb hosts. This is budget accommodation in Santa Fe, friendly and family orientated. Do not expect luxury installations.

CanadaThe reason for my trip was to hike independently to see birds and butterflies. There was no information as to how access the hiking trails. I walked / drove around for 1.5 hours looking for an access point. No one in the town could point me to the Mariposa Trail. For this reason I did not stay for 2-3 nights.
The hotel was perfectly lovely.

United KingdomRooms are slightly dated but that is honestly not a problem at all.
Lovely peaceful spot in Santa Fe. The room was spacious with a personal fridge and sink area. Really great to have access to a pool for a soak after a long walk. The team at the lodge were really welcoming and helpful in signposting what you can do around Santa Fe. The kitchen area was well equipped with lots of space to eat and relax. Would 100% go back if I was in town again!
