It's a bit of a walk from the bus station and bigger stores but there's always a cheap uber if you don't feel like walking.

I initially booked Zumo hostel for 1 night after a long day crossing from Costa Rica, that changed to 2 nights about 5 mins before checkout the next day as I was exhausted and then I met the owner Roger! Roger is a extremely friendly and kind man who genuinely cares about his guests, he's opened up his home to host strangers and he does it so well. The hostel itself is still a work in progress, its still in early stages so it's basic but it's clean and the beds are comfortable but it's Roger that makes the experience. He gave us very helpful advice about how carnival would impact our onward travel and 3 of us in the hostel ended up extending longer into the weekend and going on epic roadtrips with Roger and the cool volunteers Yazzi and Momo and had a really great time and we got to see more of Chiriqui than we ever expected to! I ended up going back to Roger's hostel a week later and he generously welcomed me back for another stay, I'd have stayed even longer if David was right at the beach! 😎 It's not a place for lying in your dorm all day but it's quiet and safe! Stay for more than 1 night and actually get to know Roger and the Chiriqui area, you won't regret it! Thanks for everything Roger! 🫶 can't wait to come back again in a few years!

To be fair, it's hard for me to come up with words that can describe this place. Arriving after a 40 hour journey, first time solo travelling and to be fair, scared of all the new things, it was incredible you just come in through the door and are welcomed by the most amazing people. Instantly you feel like a part of the family. The owner, Roger is truly the most amazing human with the biggest heart. He is so helpful and observant about your well-being, and will not wait a second to help you out. If you are looking for a place to stay in David, this is the place and you will not regret it at all! To you Roger, once again thank you for everything and your being! Will definitely come back and visit again 😊

This hostel is absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed like family. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect for anyone looking for a home away from home. Roger is truly the heart of this place – he goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels comfortable and taken care of. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine passion for hospitality are unmatched. Whether you need advice, help with anything, or just a great conversation, Roger is always there with a smile. Moritz was also super helpful and always open to answering any questions we had. On top of that, the hostel provides free transportation to ensure guests’ safety, which is such a thoughtful service. If you're looking for a place that feels like home, with an incredible team that genuinely cares, this is it. Highly, highly recommend!

The kitchen was messy and not the best equipped. But it served its purpose and that's why I rate everything positively.

Even during the renovation, the accommodation was clean and quiet. A towel was included in the price. I liked the ecological power supply through solar panels.

The atmosphere of this hostel was exactly what I needed after a long day on the bus. It truly felt like home. The hostel owners are incredibly welcoming and genuinely strive to make your stay enjoyable. In addition to the great vibe, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, and there was plenty of room to unwind. I am definitely coming back.

I recently stayed at this hostel, and it’s clear that it’s on its way to becoming an amazing place! The vibes are already great, and the decorations are getting better every day. One of the coolest things is the unique image gallery inside—it really adds a special touch. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere feels welcoming. It’s definitely a spot to watch as it grows into something truly incredible.

staff and owner are amazing people, they are creating probably the best hostel in David, nice vibe very helpful and as they say bohemian, tons of places to go out, from david, night life is great many options, food can be delivered, very close to the bus terminal and airport. option to get breakfast ! free coffee in the morning! the frontdesk is a photography gallery very recommended!
