Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThey were doing work on rooms next door to mine, a ton of noise during the day and couldn't really relax.
Wonderful location and patio, free coca tea and the staff up front were very accommodating.

United Statesso i had three different stays in a span of 2 weeks so i had 2 different rooms. one of the rooms the attached bathroom was upstairs (so if you have mobility issues, this may not be a good room), the other room the attached bathroom was on the same level as the bed.
i really liked my stay here. great value. great location (about 3-5 minutes down to the main square). clean/comfy bed. friendly staff, especially the the little lady that cooked my breakfast eggs. nice courtyard. comp breakfast was nice (fresh fruits, cheese, bread, granola etc and cooked to order serving of eggs). they stored my luggage when i was gone of treks. was able to give them my laundry because i ran out of clothes. i'm planning on staying here again next year.

Breakfast was awesome. Epi and Maria are the best hostesses we have ever met - very friendly and warm people. The folks at the front desk were very helpful and accommodated our request for bagged breakfast for an early start at 4am. Overall cozy and comfortable place. Very close and accessible to main attractions .. 24h availability of hot coca tea and mint tea are a plus

CanadaThe hotel is located in the heart of the historic section of Cusco. It made for easy walking to shops, restaurants and historic sites. The hotel featured an included breakfast, which offered a great variety of foods, the eating area was clean and well stocked. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff very accommodating.

United StatesA minor annoyance was that the heat does not work until 7pm, meaning your room can be quite cold during the day.
The hotel was beautiful and perfectly located to the historic city center. The staff was very accommodating. We stayed a few days and left for the Inca Trail, they stored our luggage and welcomed us back with smiles and hot tea. The 24 hour desk is great for international travelers.

United StatesThe receptionist on call at night wasn't the most helpful, but the folks during the day were phenomenal. We tended to avoid arranging anything important until the morning when the receptionist we trusted was on call.
I LOVED this hotel. It was extremely affordable for the amenities and location that it offered, and I would 100% stay here again. The hotel is just a few blocks off of the main historic plaza, being close enough to easily access but far enough away to not hear any of the sounds from the tourist district. The hotel is incredibly quaint and personal, and the decor and vibe match that of a bed and breakfast. The breakfast was great, and there is a wide range of hours where it is offered. I wish I had had more time in the city just to sit spend time sitting in the hotel courtyard and looking out over the city. For birdwatchers, there is a resident giant hummingbird in the courtyard that is happy to pose for pictures if you are patient.

United StatesWe only had one night here, so we had limited interaction with the staff, but the staff member at check-in was not overly friendly. However the woman at the desk in the morning was helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport for a good price. The room was small, but having the upper level helped us spread out.
Great location on a charming quiet side street, but easy walking distance to the Plaza de Armas. Wonderful views of Cusco from the breakfast room and from the upper level in our room (which gave us extra space, but the steep stairs might be difficult for some). Beautiful courtyard with free coco tea.

United KingdomRated a 9 only because we slightly preferred their sister hotel, Amaru Colonial, which also seemed to have better facilities and provided filtered water.
Helpful staff who spoke good English. They helped us book a taxi to the airport in the morning. Ideal location just on the edge of the historic centre, close to shops and good restaurants. The buffet breakfast was very good. It's from 5.30 am, which is useful for any early starts.

United KingdomLovely option for a couple of days in Cusco. Really close to the main tourist sights. The hotel kindly stored our luggage for two days while we went off to MachuPicchu. The room was big, the bed comfy, the bathroom clean with a very good shower. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Good WiFi in the hotel. Not at the budget end of the spectrum but is good value for the facilities & location. We would have like to stay longer.

CanadaThe location of Amaru Inca is steps away from the Plaza, close to many shops and great restaurants. The staff is available 24/7, friendly and helpful. The courtyard with seating and tea is charming, and overall the views from most rooms and open areas truly transport guests into the location of Cusco. It was my second time staying here and I would absolutely recommend. Especially given the time needed to adjust to altitude, you'll feel taken care of and comfortable. There are lots of steps and stairs so perhaps not the most accessible.
