Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff were cheerful, nice and helpful. The private bathroom was clean with a decent shower. Good location, about 10-15 minute walk to the town center.

It’s a little chilly in the evening and the shower pressure isn’t the best.
There was plenty of space in the room, and the staff were very kind and attentive. The breakfast each morning was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near a small supermarket, a market, a pharmacy, as well as several cafes and restaurants.

It's quite noise sensitive. So if you have neighbours that like to talk til late in the night I recomiendo earplugs

The owners are lovely, helpfull people. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good and they also offer a good laundry service. They allowed us to store our big bagbacks in the hostel during a multi-day hike. There is also a great Pizzeria next to the Hostel ;)

Due to a lot of trips starting early in the morning from Cusco it would be great to get served breakfast as of 6 am (the breakfast to go is a good option though)
We stayed a couple of days in the Eco Aventura Hostel and we fully enjoyed the time there. It is a small hostal and the hosts really try to help you with all your needs. - from breakfast over laundry to taxis/ trips and further recommendations. There are also a few small supermarkets In the neighborhood and the San Blas market with yummy food stands is closely. It is really good price/ value pick for Cusco and we can fully recommend the acommendation.

- It's a 20-minute walk to the Plaza de Armas but I am good.
- Amazing host. She is just so nice and wonderful. - Availability of water bottles at a very reasonable cost. - My spouse got a little unwell. She helped us by calling the doctor right away. - The rooms are so spacious. - Breakfast was provided to us in room and packed on days when we are leaving early.

In August it was a little cold (their winter) and a heater costs extra per night, you can always have more blankets though.
The hostel owner was super nice and accommodating, couldn't wish for better service :) everything was very clean, breakfast was sufficient and we even got some to go on our last day, when we had to leave earlier to catch our flight!

Remember to bring a towel. ;) It can get cold at nighttime (which is normal in Peru) but you get enough blankets.
Yani and her family are wonderful hosts. Very helpful and friendly. They speak good English. The room is very inviting and comfortable. At nighttime it's very quiet. I loved the hot showers! Bathroom was only shared with 1 more room. Some may prefer to stay right in the city center of Cusco, I actually liked to be a few minutes away from it.

Room was a little cold and the water heater was a little tricky to use.
Staff were really nice and always available to help. Yuri was a sweetheart and we wish them the best. Definitely would stay again.

We loved everything! The only slight negative is that the property is very cold, although we did get lots of blankets and a big duvet so our sleep wasn’t affected.
Big spacious room with private bathroom very close to San Blas market! The staff were amazing and attentive, giving us lots of advice for the Salkantay trek and with a little bit of altitude sickness. Breakfast in our room every morning too! They also let us store our bags whilst we did the trail which was very kind as we arrived back very late.

That we didn't stay longer!
Everything! Jenny and her family are amazing hosts. The hostel is in a quiet part of cusco just 10 min walk to the main square. A mini market and nice Italian restaurant are also close by. The rooms are huge and the private bathroom too. Everything always spotlessly clean (and even a daily tidy up which was a nice surprise). The breakfast is generous and delicious, served in your room or you can enjoy the alfresco area. Laundry service is well priced and all was returned clean and in full. Jenny speaks perfect English and has lots of knowledge of Cusco. Always ready to help in person or by WhatsApp. We stayed here three times as we based ourselves in cusco. Highly highly recommend.

Incredible stay with the most helpful and friendly staff who sorted out everything for my time in Cusco, provided great advice and were super kind. The value you get is quite frankly extraordinary- comfy room, quiet and super clean. Would come back for sure. Great laundry service and breakfast too. Amazing!

Low water pressure so not the best showers.
It is more of a homestay than I hostel and they made me feel like a part of the family! The owners are wonderful and even gave me a little parting gift. Breakfast in bed was such a treat.
