Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe hostel is located in a busy and loud street, but if you're looking for a cheap place to spend a few nights this is quite ok. Breakfast was good and the room size was fine. The bed was uncomfortable as I could feel the springs poking my ribs but the price was worth the poking. The worst part of my stay is that the main door is kept locked, so if you wanna go out you need to ring a physical bell and wait for staff to come and let you out. This wasn't communicated to me during the check in so the first time I wanted to go out I spent around 10 minutes looking for someone to come open the door.

CanadaLovely place to stay. Walking distance to everything. Rooms were cleaned daily, but be aware that the room doors are left open while cleaning on the floor takes place. Can hear neighborhood dogs barking at night, so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. There is a fire place on the second floor that we lit while we played cards.

United KingdomThere was an odour from the bathroom from time to time. I suspect it was from the drains. Also, the shower was a little tricky to adjust to a comfortable temperature.
Breakfast was superb and the hotel was within walking distance of all the historic sites.

Owned and run by an adorable family. Although in the centre of town it is set back from the road so is peaceful.

United KingdomOne room has nuisance dogs outside but the rest of the rooms are peaceful.
The genuine hospitality made all the difference... Feels like a home-stay. I've booked to return over Christmas. The minor inconveniences, that some reviews write about, might upset 2-week tourists but the charm of the place makes up for those.

The location is perfect, practically in the city center but without suffering the crowd. Very close to San Pedro train station and market. The patio is beautiful, and the staff take care of you.

SerbiaThe hotel is an old heritage colonial house located in the center of the city, providing easy access to local attractions. The rooms are very simple, almost like a monastery, but they are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was decent and provided a good start to the day. The standout feature of this hotel is the fantastic personal service from the staff. The antique religious decorations add a unique and charming touch to the ambiance.

United StatesThe shower uses an instant-heater that will require some fine skills in adjusting the water pressure to get the temperature you want. Too little and you can potentially scald yourself, too much and you might freeze.
Amazing staff. Tasty breakfast (with eggs the way you want them). The hostel was out of water on one of the nights (apparently this happens in some sectors of Cusco a lot and is beyond their control), and the lady staff went around to hand a jug and another gallon of water to each room. Comfy room and clean toilet.

The staff is very friendly, Rosa and Irene made me feel right at home. The hostel is located in a lively area and close to the center 12 minutes walk to the main square. The coffee at breakfast is delicious. Although located on a main street, the rooms are at the back, where no street noise can reach, it’s very peaceful.
