Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Nothing bad to say
Great location, next to Mercado San Pedro and a few minute walk from Plaza de Armas. Amazing hosts. Very friendly and open to give tips to move around Cusco. Crean room and bathroom. Comfy bed. Good Internet connection

A family own hotel. Service people was very nice and friendly. With cellphone translator app, there was not any problem on communication. Breakfast was serviced, like reassurance.

We had an amazing stay at Cusco Bed and Breakfast. We arrived early with our overnight bus and were able to already enjoy the great organic breakfast. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Everyone at Cusco Bed and Breakfast is also extremely friendly and made sure we had a great stay not only in Cusco but also on our onward journey to Aguas Calientes. Thank you again for the great time!

The owners were extremely friendly, and gave very good recommendations of the city. Despite the language difference, the owners also engaged in conversations with their guest, and were proud to show us tell us about their heritage. P.S. The breakfast served includes organic fruits from their garden.

Like everywhere in this country the walls and windows are thin. Our room was located towards the street and it was SO noisy all night. Trucks unloading to the shops and markets, cars, people shouting... Wi-Fi was barely working in our room (much better eg in the breakfast room), we ran the water in the shower for 5mins and still didn't come out warm, tv did not work at all.
The family running the place was very friendly. The room was clean (if wanted, it's cleaned every day and was in very neat shape when we arrived) and breakfast was good for this price. Location is good too.

The service is an absolute 10/10, the hosts are incredible and are very friendly and homely making breakfast for us every morning and ensuring that we were okay. Probably the best value for money hotel in all of Cusco.

Room is a little small but if you don't have big luggages, it will be fine.
Location is the best. Right at San Pedro Market. The owners take good care of their guests. They kept our bags when we had to go to Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. The breakfast provided is top notch. All natural ingredients and homemade. The best is that the taxi that they ordered for us to go to the airport did not arrive. Manuel felt bad and personally drove us to the airport. That is definitely top notch service.

Just 1 small window to the outside, but this seems like a common thing in the city and wasn’t a big problem.

Saturday night the bar next to us played loud bass music until 6 am.
Our host Manuel and Mari went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The breakfast was all organic and fresh. They even made us packed lunch for our very early excursions.
