Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNice hostel in an old building with a outdoor common area. It was cold in February so we needed layers (both in the room and common area). There were lots of blankets on the beds though. The breakfast staff were very nice. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and rolls and on some days there was juice (not every day though). Good location - 5 minute walk to the main square. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here (total 5 nights).

DenmarkThe water doesnt run at some time of the days, and the room was super cold. But thats more likely to be the location issue?.. the snack pack instead of the breakfast option was a bit dissapointing but ok. :)
Nice service, super nice food options and cheap! Great breakfast included in the price. Towell included in the price and we even got an upgrade for free. ❤️ Cat lovers will appreciate two cute cats 😁

United StatesI can’t think of anything worth mentioning.
There was a basic breakfast that was part of the deal, but it wasn’t enough. So everyday that I was there, I had their breakfast special and a fruit salad. That cost 16 Soles. —- I speak Spanish fluently, and I made friends with the staff easily. They were really nice people.

CanadaThe location is great, but a bit uphill for me. For most people, it's not haha
The staff were super nice to me. My dorm was clean and the bed was comfortable. I believe I took the 14-bed mixed dorm, but the dorm was massive and there was also a window in my dorm so it didn't feel stuffy and the air felt clean. The bathrooms were always clean. The food options at breakfast were good. Restaurant on site if you want to order food.

United StatesWe stayed in a private room and it was extremely bare bones and not very big. Heavy wood front door and the only window was a small port-hole size window in the door (with a shutter that you can open/ close, but with a glass pane inside so doesn't let air in). The showers worked but did not have very good water pressure and we had to request to borrow a cleaning rag to use as a bathroom floor mat because none was provided and it was impossible to use the shower without getting the floor wet. Lastly, the music.. (to be fair this is true of many hostels we stayed at). For some reason hostels seem to thing tourists want to constantly hear EDMand lofi remixes of pop songs played over the loud speakers day and night. The music starts sometime in the morning hours and continues for a while, and then starts up again around 5pm and lasts until (a reasonable) 10pm. Sometimes they started out playing some good/ mellow/ spanish language songs, but it inevitably devolves into club music. My recommendation is to play some Peruvian music. We are visiting the country to experience the culture, not to listen to the same top 40 we hear at home.
Staff was very nice and helpful with any questions we had. Great free breakfast included with the stay (choice of eggs/ toast, eggs and chorizo, avocado sandwich, and coffee/ tea/ juice) The hostel building itself (the communal area inside of the entrance) is not big but is pretty and there's a lot of historical photos on the walls showing old Cusco and also what the hostel used to look like. Great location for walking around Cusco's Centro Historico. Less than 10 min walk from the San Pedro Market

AustraliaI really liked the all female 6 bed dorm, although it was a little affected by street lights and noise, but I had a weird bed in the larger mixed dorm, which was floating in the room and not against any wall. This made it hard for charging phones and not ideal for sleeping. The bar area was nice although prone to getting very hot in the sun. Showers were great.
