The family is absolutely lovely and caring, it was a pleasure to stay at the Hostal Qolqampata. After check out we could leave our luggage there for some days, what was really helpful for us. The view from our room was beautiful. Thank you for the nice stay!

Room was coldish, the breakfast was not really good, and a little comment: Even though they were always there, since you dont have the main door key, you have to wait for them to open you the door, which is fine, unless you are in a real rush haha

Very big room, very nice views, very well located - close to the city, very nice owners, possibility for laundry service. You can use their terrace and space area.

We had some issues with flush in the bathroom. Also, toiletries (shampoo/shower gel) were not provided. For the breakfast, it would be great to have some more diversity like fruit or vegetables. Hotel is located uphill from the city centre which might be challenging for walking up at the altitude

Pleasant stay close to the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check out one hour later. The view from the hotel is incredible

Cosy common areas: nice terrace and a few other chill spots in the hostel. Also nice that there was a tea corner.

Some damp mould in bathroom from condensation.

Price and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice warm blankets when it's cool for the beds. Mini fridge to store extra fluids. 9 min walk from Cusco centre, up steep road - reasonable close to eateries and bodegas. Also close to San Cristobal church and Sacsayhuamán. Walkable but can be challenging due to Cuscos altitude.

    - bathroom was a bit smelly - I got an allergic reaction and had to sneeze and a running nose while I was in the room. - the window was a bit difficult to open due to the curtain rod which is blocking the window - the wall to the bathroom needs a renovation - payment couldnt be done through credit card in advance

    - very comfortable, big bed with several warm blankets + 1 extra bed: perfect!!! - spacious room and bathroom - very friendly staff! - nice and comfy common area with terrace and great view! - very nice view to the city center from the room - good access from street to get in or out a taxi - location is quiet and yet just a couple of min walking to the city centre - the friendly man at the reception organized us a taxi to the airport

Unfortunately our room was on the bottom floor which proved to be very noisy. People coming in late and tours leaving very early so we struggled to get sleep. However on our return from the trek they did accommodate us moving to a higher level where we slept much better The shower temperature is a bit hit and miss Security for bag storage could be improved

This is a hard one to rate as the staff were friendly and attentive and were always willing to help. They have same day laundry service which is more expensive than down the road but you don't have to lug it up and down the hilly streets so we were happy to pay this extra. Breakfast was good, again the staff were lovely at breakfast. They stored our bags when we did the trek and have 24 hour reception

Worth a warning, this hostal is at the top of a hill or steep staircase, which feels a lot harder work at altitude!

Staff were very welcoming and helpful in organising transport and looking after our bags while we were away on a hiking trip.

We booked the room with the windows, but initially received without, however after clarification we got what we booked. Bathroom had some hairs..

View from the terrace is amazing as expected (be ready for some stairs to get to hotel), they also gave us breakfast earlier as we had to catch the bus at 7am. Room cozy with nice super warm blankets

The hostel was not a social hotel at all- we didn’t see many other guests, however we did hear them. It was quite a noisy hostel and unfortunately we were right under the common area, so there was a lot of stomping and thumping when we were relaxing or trying to sleep. This was particularly the case in the morning, around 4am, when the staff started their day. The hostel was VERY cold, including the dining room. It was absolutely freezing to have any meal. We asked and were provided with a heater for our room though. The kitchen isn’t really for guest use. While the owners said yes to us using the kitchen to make dinner, it clearly made them quite uncomfortable. Open use of the kitchen would’ve made the stay a lot easier, particularly because we never saw the BBQ facilities detailed in the property description. The laundry is also much more expensive to do through the hotel than just walking down the street to the local laundry. You also have to ask for the hot water to be turned on and when there are more than a couple of people showering, it runs out quick.

The owners of the hostel were lovely and nothing was an issue. The beds were also quite comfy. If you don’t want to socialise and want a nice comfy hotel room to get used to the altitude before you hike, it’s great. Great views and wonderful location (around the plaza can be really noisy, particularly when they have a different festival every day).

The restroom needs attention, the bathroom floor was always wet.

The property was clean and, good enough for a family of four, the room was small but had 2 twin beds and 1 full bed and a private bath. The owners of the property were very courteous and helpful. Good breakfast with fresh juices and good WiFi. Plaza was only few mins walk from location.

It can get quite chilly at night. It's also on the hill so it requires a bit of hiking to get there.

The staff was super polite and helpful, they even agreed to keep our luggage for a couple of days during our trip to Macchu Picchu and didn't request any money! The view from the terrace is amazing! Rooms are a bit small though and bathroom as well. But it's very cheap so it's good value for the money.
