Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandSound travels in this place but I found that to be the same at every hotel
The staff went above and beyond to help us with any questions we had about cafes, Covid restrictions for Picchu, anything! They arranged our taxi from the airport and to the train station. Very friendly and kind!

United KingdomThe second night we stayed there were no pillow covers on our cushions but we just threw one of our blankets over them and crashed for the evening. It was difficult to communicate in English sometimes but that is not the fault of the property. Use google translate and you will be fine! The staff were very friendly and eager to help.
The hotel itself is situated within 2 minutes walking distance of the San Pedro market which is the main place for buying souvenirs such as ponchos, bags, hats, gloves, scarves and t-shirts. The main tourist area is about a 5 minute walk away and it seems to be here where most of the pickup points are for the tour companies, in Plaza Regocijo. Our tour departed at 6am and it was perfect to walk here from the hotel. Safe as well. We booked a double room which had a large double bed and a seperate lounge with kitchenette and bathroom. Lots of space. The hotel arranged an airport transfer for us. This cost us 20 Peru Soles which is approximately £4 or $5 one way and it takes around 30 minutes in traffic, a little quicker without. We stayed on Friday night, went on a tour Saturday and returned late Sunday. The property stored our baggage for us during that period so that we didn't have to lug it to Machu Picchu. Wifi connection was reliable. We paid £15 a night we couldn't have asked for anything better. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

GermanyVery loud, every noise from inside the hotel and outside can be heard (neigbours doing construction works until after 11 pm, dogs barking and street noise), no sound proof windows (doors or walls). Sometimes no water

CanadaThis is advertised as an aparthotel when in reality it is a hostel. It needs attention. The sofa was ripped, the towels were gray not white, the wash cloth in kitchen was well used. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint. The sound echoes from the hall and from vent in bathroom.. If you are on a tight budget this may be the place for you.
The apartment was on the larger size with a separate bedroom. Extra Large screen television in room. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedroom had warm bedding.. Breakfast included. Used translation app to communicate with staff.

IndiaExtremely cold rooms, heater doesn't work, no carpet in the rooms, you need to have your shoes/slippers. Breakfast is basic, however manageable. WiFi is not that strong inside the rooms. Charge 5% extra for credit card payments, many places don't charge that extra amount. Only soaps are provided, one needs to bring their own shampoo, body wash, dental kit.
The room was clean, most of the staff doesn't speak English but are helpful, and the location is very close to the plaza square. The staff packs snacks and fruits for you if you are doing early morning trips to Humantay, Rainbow mountains. Toilets are clean.

PolandDuring the first night there was no hot water, later hot water was available but it run out one time during shower, then the hot water pressure was low. It was cold during the night, we got small oil heater and it helped a lot. Overall the place looks really old and needs refurbishment, but it’s very clean at the same time.
Breakfast was really tasty, the room was cleaned everyday, we have great amenities in our room

SpainVery loud construction happening right outside our window Shower wasn’t great (low pressure and lack of hot water) Make sure when you pay that you ask for a receipt, when we left we had realised we had been double charged for a room that we had in fact actually paid for on our first night. I would also suggest paying through booking.com for the paper trail as they don’t have a legitimate way of logging payments, from what we could tell anyway! The rooms felt damp and the thick blankets on the beds felt like they had not been washed in a long time.

United Kingdomthe room we were in was on the ground floor and the window was onto the parking lot so it was a bit noisy. Also had to wait quite a while for the shower to get warm enough.
it was in a good location (very close to San Pedro market). the staff were very accommodating if we needed plates/cutlery etc and also flexible with a late checkout and storing our bags.
