Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I enjoyed my time at Saqray hotel :) great staff, basic but delicious breakfast and it is near by the main square of Cusco.

Simple but good breakfast. Rooms were very cosy. Nice communal areas! Friendly staff, we could storage our bags for the day. Not too far away from the coty centre, quiet neighbourhood! Would have definitely stayed longer if we could.

Just some regular Lecce for the coffee in the morning would be awesome 👍
Great location and perfect for a more relaxed, quiet time. We were in need of a good rest after a long hike and we knew Saqray would be perfect so we stayed there again!always hot water, towels provided and staff were always great with us. 😃

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is ideal, just a 5-minute walk from the plaza. The breakfast was delicious, and they thoughtfully offered to pack it if you had an early morning departure.

Breakfast options were a little limited but perfectly fine
Loved our stay here. Could leave bags whilst we did the Salkantay Trek. Breakfast was ok. Good social spaces, bathrooms were always squeaky clean, really friendly staff

They had prepared breakfast for me when I had a tour at 4:30 a.m., they looked after my bags whilst I was on a four day hike, they gave me time to take out soles so it would be cheaper than card. All of these little details are greatly appreciated and demonstrate the care this hostel has for its guests, beyond everything else that comes with a 5 star stay.

There is a road next to it so a lot of traffic noise depending on the room you are in. WiFi is weak in the room further away from reception.

really nice & comfy hostel! i'd say it's the best in Cusco!!! The host speaks nice English and is really helping a lot. They offer nice breakfast even around 4 am. And the location and the view from second floor is just amazing.

Only that you had to shower before a certain time because of the shortage of water. Manual flushing sometimes as well but this was no problem for us. They still helped us out and made sure we could shower every day.
Everything! Really nice staff who are glad to help you with anything. Beds are good, nice curtains in shared dorms and they offer you to clean the beds throughout your stay. Diego made us last minute breakfast to go when we were in a rush. Booked an extra night because everything was so comfortable!

Breakfast was a bit basic. Some fruit or eggs would be great next time.
Lovely hostel, I stayed in a comfortable private room with ensuite and hot shower. Lovely common sitting area to read a book or meet other travellers and nice view from the restaurant upstairs. Nice and friendly staff. Central location easy walk to plaza de las armas.

Water issues in the general area with no rain, but they are working on solutions - maybe worth checking before you stay. Located at the top of the hill so it is good training for treks especially if you go the 117 step route.
Good breakfast options. Friendly staff, especially Diego. Bed was comfortable. Good chill out areas with free tea/coffee all day. Good WiFi. Good value. Nice views over the city

It is up a steep hill.
Very accommodating, they have a laundry service with single day turn around, they let us store our bags in storage while we did the Inka trail and provided boxed breakfasts when we had an early morning tour.

Little bit of a walk to the hostel not long like 5 minutes depending on how fast you walk but it is on a hill so be prepared to take the stairs or walk slightly inclined hill.
Breakfast was simple but good. Cook was nice. The Receptionist were all great but Diego was amazing, eager to help and assist in anyway possible. Comfy beds.
