We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe night of the Polynesian show was forced to due room service if we didnt want to pay for the show. Nothing else was open except for the crepe place. The staff at crepe bar took forever to acknowledge you if you werent sitting at a table except for the manager he was great. Front desk told us that we didnt need reservations yet we were asked every night if we had them at every restaurant. And the fact that we didnt were told we could not sit at "prime location tables". Could have been more privacy while sitting on deck of overwater bungalows.
The staff at the pool were great. Breakfast was great.

MaltaWe have a slight problem with our booking. For some reason they had me down as two nights instead of three (when I had updated this to three about 10 days prior to my arrival). And once they updated that they had the wrong room listed and were going to give me a garden on land bungalow. When I brought this to their attention they made me feel like the mistake was from my end and didn’t apologise once for both mistakes. Expected more from a 5 star hotel. They made it seem like I was lucky to get the last overwater bungalow when this was clearly their oversight. They were also aware it was our honeymoon and there was zero extra effort made in the room to make it feel acknowledged. I was disappointed that they didn’t make some kind of gesture - a note or some sort. The happy hour drinks were definitely diluted as we went somewhere else for happy hour and they were a lot stronger.
We had the over water bungalow and what a treat it was! We loved it. The beds were super comfortable and a nice large room. We loved the glass floor area in our room to watch the fish at night. Kayaking was great even though we were only allowed around the periphery of the hotel swimming zone which means you could do the entire thing in about 15 mins. The lagoon is great for snorkelling and we even got to see some sharks. The restaurant and bar staff were great too. The food at the restaurant was not over priced and pretty much the same as other restaurants outside. The traditional dishes were fantastic (the burger not so much). They refill the mini bar fridge which is nice considering you’re paying so much for the place and everything on Mo’orea is so expensive.

New ZealandThis hotel is a 5 star hotel, however the rooms are not a 5 star standard and need some renovations. Unfortunately the food was ok and not worth the price.
Excellent staff. Everyone was so friendly and went above and beyond. Great snorkeling with a wonderful private beach and the pool area was great too. Free use of standup paddling boards, kayaks and snorkeling gear. Also, the minibar was complimentary and got refilled everything , which was a great service.

United StatesThe Hilton food service needs improvement. Expensive but not that good. Institutional tasting. I ordered a pina colada and the bartender didn’t use any ice just the ingredients. He had ran out of ice and was too lazy to go get any. But there are wonderful restaurants on the island. If you intend to play tennis, don’t. The court is not playable. The exercise room is small and has sparse equipment.
If you like to snorkel, dive or hike this is one of the best locations of any island anywhere. The people of Moorea are wonderful with a great culture.

United StatesYou can hear people in the cove outside your bungalow. It was private inside but not private outside on the lanai/deck. People should lower their voices when on the deck. We heard all sorts of things..... The expresso coffee cup itself was dirty. It had not been washed. Also, our toilet got clogged at 3am. We were told that "maintenance" would not be available until 7 am. This is not acceptable. There should be a maintenance person available 24/7 or on call. After going back to sleep, they called and woke us up and said the security man would come and unstop our toilet. Odd, but he did arrive 10 minutes later and repair the toilet. The scarry thing is that the blockage did not appear to be coming directly from our toilet, rather somewhere along the system. The security man was really nice and efficient. It costs a lot of money per night to stay in these bungalows. You can look it up yourself. It was inexcusable to have a used coffee cup in my room. The tea/coffee service should have been clean. Toilets back up, we understand. But there should be someone available at all times to repair items in a room. We had upgraded, thinking the panoramic view would be unobstructed. There are only a handful of Premium bungalows that offer a view without seeing or hearing the adjacent bungalow. Be cautious and look at a map of how the bungalows are spaced and set up before upgrading sight unseen. You might get disappointed at check-in.
Of course, the view. The staff was wonderful too... everyone went to great lengths to welcome us. Love the bungalows over the water. I liked the see-through floor in the bungalow, kind of an aquarium "effect." You can snorkel right off your deck. Be careful as the rungs of the ladder in the water have some algae and can be slippery. Free bottle of champagne on ice was waiting upon arrival and the minibar in the room was free. The macaroons were delicious. As a matter of fact, the food service, taste and selection were excellent. Be prepared to pay however. Prices are high. Room service was great! Great water pressure and hot water temperature in the shower. Robes and slippers in closet was nice. The gift basket was unexpected and nice too!

United StatesThe food, sadly the food options at the Hilton aren't great, especially the lack of healthy options for vegetarians or vegans. The food is also over priced and the crepe restaurant is underwhelming for such a beautiful location. Given how many people around the world are vegetarian/ plant based and want healthy options the Hilton needs to do better here. The only vegetarian option for my kiddo was pizza which he can't eat every meal for a week and lacks any nutritional value for him.
Loved the free snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayak use, with a kiddo this made a big difference. The staff are wonderful, the resorts kitties are adorable and so friendly, the spa treatment was incredible.

United KingdomThe Polynesian dance/dinner was nothing special for the price. Grounds and the beach are quite small.
We booked a garden villa with a pool. We stayed in room 50, just of the beach. The plunge pool is private but the front decking can be seen by people walking past as there is only a hedge separating it from the path. The drinks in the mini bar are complimentary which is a nice touch. The stand out feature at the hotel if the hotel reef if you enjoy snorkelling. Just wade into the perfectly calm sea of the hotel beach and you will see plenty of fish, in fact more than we saw than in the snorkelling boat tour we did.

Hong KongMaybe the activities (diving, jet ski,,,) could be cheaper. Also guests are also a little bit "calm"...no craziness during the evening happy hour...
The bungalow above the water is simply amazing: direct access to the amazing lagoon, glass flooring to see the water under the room, sharks in the lagoon during the night, swimming pool, nice staff, breakfast in the room balcony above the water, bottle of champaign, free drinks in the fridge... United KingdomThe only thing we didn’t like was the food. We paid for bed and breakfast, and that meal was pretty good, but we had lunch twice and dinner once in the outside restaurant near the beach and the food really wasn’t that great. And it was expensive for the quality. It just lacked flavour. We were going to have the themed dinner buffet but decided to just watch the show (which was great btw!) without eating as we didn’t want to spend any more money on what could’ve been a sub par meal, so we can’t comment on the buffet dinner as we didn’t try it. Generally I’d recommend going out of the hotel for dinner etc or exploring local places if you have a car.
We loved the hotel’s private beach area and the whole place is really beautiful. We stayed in a villa with a private plunge pool, which was lovely, clean and spacious. The turn down service and the fact that the mini bar is topped up for free each day was a nice touch. My husband and I had a massage each at the hotel spa and they were amazing! The masseurs were really lovely too.

CanadaThe rooms could use a refresh. Obviously the prices are high for food and drink, but it's expected at a chain like the Hilton
The location was superb, close to little roulottes and authentic shops. We had one of the premium overwater bungalows at the end of the docks, so a bit of a walk but the privacy was appreciated. We appreciated the bottle of champagne and macarons as diamond members. The snorkeling during our entire stay was great, we are experienced divers and brought our own gear. We saw spotted rays, black tip reef sharks, and all sorts of coral fish. The resort facilities and staff were excellent, we found the breakfast selection was great, especially the egg station. We had body treatments at the spa which melted the stress in our muscles away. The staff made us feel welcome, and we tipped the ones who were extra helpful, which led to some unfortunate inter-staff shenanigans. We stayed at the hotel for a 2 night romantic getaway with sun & sea, after a busy 2 weeks with friends on the islands. Our overwater bungalow was a great base for relaxation.
