Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. No fan in room
Nice, clean room for our overnight in Tahiti. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, 4 pillows for 2 persons! Really appreciate the communal kitchen with stove, oven, fridge and filtered water dispenser. AC in room.

The host took great care of us - Picked us up from the airport at 1:30 in the morning! Greeted us with flowers. Helped us with showing up a day early, ferry tickets, car rentals, and even helped us pay for our next destination when they would accept a credit card. She also drove us back to the airport at 5:00 am on our final day. Wow!

We had to stay one night due to our flight schedule. The airport transfer was so helpful especially considering our flight was at 5:30 am! The room is clean, modern, and comfortable and we could definitely see staying there longer.

We asked for dinner for when we arrived weeks in advance, and it didn’t happen. Host forgot and once you are up at this room, you’re basically stranded if you have no car. There wasn’t any communication about the shuttle pick up and what to expect. I sent a couple messages asking and never got a reply. I wasn’t sure where to look for the shuttle or if we had to call. Our plane was early and we waited quite a while before calling. Don’t let the negatives deter… the place is clean and probably just what you need for a night… the host just needs to get slightly more organized.
The room was what we needed for an overnight near the airport. It was very clean and had the essentials. The owner was kind.

The location to the airport is excellent and the owners spoke english very well which helped us immensely, they also transported us and plenty of luggage without any issue
The owners are lovely people, they went out of their way to help us with our transfers from ferries to airports, much appreciated when the flight departure time is 4am

We found it very hard to find and you had to call at Manaeva Lodge to checkin. A bit more information about checking in would have been helpful.
Clean, quiet, nice host. Close to the airport. The kitchen was shared between 2 units.

Lots of dogs on the way. They turned out to be harmless, but I got a little scared walking around the neighborhood.
We stayed for 1 night. Our place is spacious, clean, and it has excellent air conditioning. Quiet. We had 7am flight, and hotel owner drove us to the airport: very much appreciate the hospitality!!!

Modern, well equipped and clean. Quiet,in nice residential area but within minutes of airport. Lovely hosts who pick up / drop off at airport and offer a shuttle into Papeete. Good value.

Not your typical hotel with a reception area and staff like you might find at a Hilton...but the rooms and bathrooms were modernly updated with fans and A/C. The surrounding area is more of a rural island setting with unmarked roads and very narrow.
The property was good but way different from the normal resorts and hotels we usually stay at. We had an early flight and short notice to get a hotel near the Tahiti International Airport (PPT). Heia, the person who helped us and provided shuttle service to the airport went out of her way to accommodate our needs. I would give her 10 stars. She made us feel comfortable.
