Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

For more details you can check my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer For our 9-night stay in French Polynesia, we opted to divide our time between two islands: Moorea and Bora Bora. Upon arriving in French Polynesia, your initial destination is Papeete, Tahiti. Despite the island’s attractions, we concluded that spending just one night there would suffice before taking the ferry to Moorea. Our arrival in Papeete, around 10:20 PM, led us to take a taxi to our hotel, Polynesian Cabins by Kon Tiki, conveniently located across the road from the ferry terminal. The taxi fare from the airport was 3000 Francs (27$/25€). Paying $98 for a night in a Polynesian Cabin, which resembled a train cabin with an external shower and restroom, met our needs well, especially considering a double room would have cost $250/night. The hotel proved clean and comfortable, providing a suitable place to rest after the 9:30-hour direct flight from Seattle. While breakfast at the hotel cost 3000 francs (27$/25€)/person, we chose to explore and enjoy a meal at a local bakery. When selecting a hotel for a short stay, my criteria include: 1️⃣Location: I seek a hotel in a convenient spot, ensuring easy access to planned activities even if I won’t spend much time in the room. 📍 2️⃣ Affordability: I prioritize budget-friendly options to maximize savings, especially when anticipating minimal time in the hotel room. 💰 3️⃣ Basic Amenities: I look for hotels providing essential amenities like a comfy bed, clean bathroom, and Wi-Fi for a brief yet pleasant stay. 🛏️🚿 4️⃣ Quick Check-In/Out: I choose a hotel with efficient check-in and check-out processes to streamline my experience and save time. ⏰ 5️⃣ Security: I prioritize hotels with reliable security measures, ensuring my belongings are safe for worry-free exploration. 🔒✨ 📌 What factors guide your selection of hotels for brief stays?

Cook IslandsFrankly, nothing.....
Great location and wonderfully clean and presentable - I was dubious about shared facilities, but the bathrooms/toilets were high standard and continually cleaned and the lounge area very relaxed

United StatesSmall rooms but all we needed for an overnight stay at the beginning of our trip to Moores and before flying out again. Location was perfect right across from the ferry. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms very clean. Lounge area was nice and great coffee machine. Really appreciated that we could come back before our flight in the evening to take a shower. Staff was very nice and helpful. The rooftop bar was also very nice.

New ZealandI don't really like how they charge you a week before you arrive but understand why they have this policy. I always turn up, many others might not...
Comfortable king size bed, good air-conditioning, nice common area, bathrooms are always clean, bar on the roof, friendly helpfull staff, great location across the road from the ferry and I'm not sure you can beat the price in Tahiti. Small room but all you need especially if traveling alone 👍

CroatiaI know this is not the hotel's fault, but there is a night club next to the hotel and it is so noisy. I literally couldn't sleep the whole night because if the loud music and someone was howling and screaming until 6 am. The purpose of the hotel is to get well rested and get some decent sleep, and this was simply not possible because of all the noise. Maybe think about investing in better sound isolation in the future because I wouldn't stay here anymore. Also, in the shower all the pumps from the shampoo, conditioner and the shower gel and faulty and not working and they are fixed to the wall, so no possibility to take it out and use it. Rooftop terrace has already been booked out, and I couldn't get a table there event though I'm a guest of the hotel, as I've understood it's a very 'posh' place, and can be booked even if you're not staying at the hotel. A bit silly that a customer who is using the accomodation can't get access to their facilities.
I originally booked a small cabin with a shared bathroom, but upon arrival upgraded to suite. The room is spacious and we'll decorated and the location is perfect, right across the ferry station. In the room there is a coffee machine with great coffee.

New ZealandExactly what we expected. Very clean, easy to access, secure and great value for money. We landed at 1am, checked in at 2am which was flawless, spent the day on the ocean and stayed a second night before heading away on the ferry to Moorea (directly across the road). 1/4 of the price of anywhere else on the Papeete side and a much better investment.

United StatesIt was confusing to understand that the same hotel had four different kinds of stays. Since the names were different, it was uncertain about the location of the Polynesian kin tiki cabins.
Convenient location in town across from ferry terminal. Very clean. Had open air kitchen for cabin users to share with a good coffee machine and ice maker. Several layers of key access security to rooms. Very clean shared bathrooms.

We were in Papeete for a night for the Norwegian cruise line. The location was literally down the street so it was perfect. Being from a different country sharing the bathroom was a little odd but I made it work. A fun different experience for sure! Breakfast was good too!

MaltaBreakfast is expensive at 2500xpf! It's a buffet so no option to downgrade to a smaller breakfast or snack :( Could do with better lighting in the bathroom area and even the rooms. There are not enough hooks/hanging space in the rooms or the bathrooms so you end up using the floor which is not always hygienic.
The location of the Kon Tiki being right opposite the ferry terminal is super convenient for the meeting place for most tour and to get the ferry over to Moorea. And its around a 10 min walk from the market and main street with shops and restaurants. The staff are super professional, friendly and accommodating. The cabins are fun and nicely decorated but if you are scared of heights, its definitely not for you as you have to climb a ladder to get to your bed (or perhaps ask for a cabin without the ladder which got the second time I stayed). The mood lighting in the room is nice but a standard light to be able to pack your things would be a nice addition. A lot of people take their suitcase outside of the room to pack.
