AustraliaThis property has been very good in its day but the exterior and aspects of the pool for example have been left to deteriorate which is a real shame. Hotel staff were helpful and attentive except the attitude of the guy on the front desk when we were leaving, and our taxi did not arrive. he continued to give heaps of attitude because we didn't book the cab through them. Unnecessary as we were overall very happy with our stay which was a transit stay as we were catching the 7 am flight.
We booked an executive suit and for 5 people great amount of room.

I have stayed here several times and as usual it did not fail in its location, cleanliness and comfortable bed plus the rooms are a generous size with a balcony. I love the pool, such a treat for a hotel of this size.

United StatesThe first room that they gave me was at the level of a walkway and the sliding glass door did not lock. They gave me a room on the 5th floor, same story, obviously much safer at this level, but I still felt the need to put my computer in their safe behind the front desk each day that I was there. Overall Papeete feels very safe to me, but I just can't afford to lose my computer. When I was here 8 years ago the place was well painted and there were koi in the water features in the lobby. Now the koi and water are gone and the outside of the hotel is in dire need of a paint job.
The staff were very nice and very helpful. Seemed like a tremendous set of workers who were interested in my welfare. I don't recall the Tahitian words being used here when I stayed at this hotel in 2014, so I asked the front desk to teach me how to pronounce the words that I needed. The hotel was relatively quiet and the beds were comfortable. They now have internet in the rooms. That is a big plus. I liked the place in 2014, but having internet in the room is a great improvement.

United Statesthe halls were super dark outside the rooms. no convenient food places and the restaurant is only open at certain times on weekends. the bathroom showers leave a lot to be desired. they’re European, but you end up taking ‘boat showers’ since the shower head is awful. I didn’t use the gym (one day stay), but I was impressed with its offerings. high end equipment - to include really nice free weights. the pool is not as big as the website pictures make it seam, but it’s a nice pool.
Convenient to airport. we needed to trims and this offered that. it was clean and comfortable. the kitchen/dining space was a nice surprise - good for longer stays.
