Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe checked in late and walking to our room the hall ways were dark there was no lighting, so we had to use the light on our phone to guide us.
Conveniently located in the town area. So it was easy to check out and head over to the ferry to Moorea. The rooms were very spacious. It was located next to Vodafone which was also a plus and a gas station for supplies if needed.

United StatesThe doors to individual rooms are only lit with a small blue light, making it hard to find the room number when arriving. There is no general lighting on each hotel floor. Air conditioners are turned off between clients, resulting in several hours needed to cool rooms to a decent sleeping temperature. Apparently electricity is very expensive. Restaurant well staffed, but expensive, with breakfast beginning at about $29 for the cold buffet. The bar is closed due to Covid.
The Hotel Tahiti Nui is located in the central urban area of Papeete. It is in walking distance to the water front and to a variety of restaurants, shops and the Central Market. Rooms and beds are large and comfortable. The elevator requires inserting one's room key, making the floors secure. The hotel consistently uses an excellent driver named Yoshi on runs to the airport.

United StatesBed needs to be a little thicker and room was a little noisy (but tolerable). Facilities were nicely designed, but needs better maintenance, dimly lit halls/stairs, guest bathroom water damage peeling, outside concrete dirty. Elevator made noises and even halted mid floor once randomly.
Location was great, a couple blocks from central shopping and a nice bakery, not far from Ferry and dining. Staff was friendly, offered correction to a miscommunication on room, checked in on time, allowed us to park early. Room was clean and spacious and well laid out, nice patio. Pool area was very nice.

New ZealandThe place was so run down. Like it was built and then nothing was maintained or cleaned since. The deck around the pool was breaking up with my foot going through one board. There were scuff marks on all walls. All floors and tiles were worn and dirty. The lounge in the lobby was all cracking and looked like an outdoor bus stop. My room was on the main road side of the building and even the double glazed windows couldnt keep the road noise out. worst sleep ever
Had a Pool and rooms were bif despite everything being old and delapedated. There was a restaurant in the hotel also but the breakfast was terrible. I didnt try the dinner but it looked like a nice menu.

CanadaThe first night I stayed, the room was very large and had a nice balcony. However, the lights did not work in the room nor did the air-conditioning. I arrive so late at night, at least from my time zone change, I just crawled into bed and went to sleep. I hoped that the air conditioning would’ve kicked in sometime during my stay. I mentioned it to the front desk the next day and they said they would have a maintenance man come up. After waiting many hours for the maintenance man who did not show up. I went back to the desk and they said, quotation mark we are moving you to a new room quotation. However, the new room did have air-conditioning and they were lights, but this room much smaller with no balcony.
It was fairly near the port for my cruise. The little convenience store next door was fabulous. The WiFi was great, although television was mostly all French.

United States- Breakfast is expensive and could be more varied with more local food - Pool definitely needs umbrellas as there is no shade at all and it's very hot - One of the extra mattress provided for kids was extremely old and uncomfortable. Looked more of a box spring than a mattress
- Spacious and comfortable room - Outstanding massage by Anne Lise at the SPA - Pool - Central location, easy walk to the ferry, even with luggage

AustraliaThe hotel was very run down and was in need of major works to renovate the property. the carpets in the public areas on the upper floors were dirty and really well worn and in need of replacement. The building was showing signs of concrete cancer and rust, it was also very poorly maintained and not well lit at night. We took many photos showing examples of our comments and can provide them on request. The 2 Bedroom Executive suite was nothing like that in the Booking.com listing, each bedroom was advertised to have its own ensuite (i.e. shower, toilet and vanity). One bedroom had a shower and vanity, no toilet and was very dark with no natural light. The other bedroom had a bathroom about 8 metres away down the hall and only had a shower and vanity, it was also very dark with no lights on the mirror for applying makeup. The toilet for both bedrooms was in the hallway and was shared between the 4 of us and floor was not cleaned properly. We requested both bedroom be queen beds but even after comments to the reception desk we had one queen bed and 2 single beds. The air conditioners in the living area were old and did not work properly and it was impossible to reset the temperature or fan speed to a comfortable setting. refer photos The lounges in living area were filthy and the cushion cover zippers were broken on the cushions. refer photos We had to request additional crockery and cutlery for our room as it was set up for 2 people not 4 people as booked.
It was 2 bedroom so the 4 of us could be in the same suite, additionally the suite had a kitchen so we could cook breakfast or prepare snacks.

United StatesA roosters started crowing at 3 AM and every 20 minutes after all night long. No sleep for us. When we arrived around 11 PM the outside of the hotel was very dark. Little light in the reception area and NO light in the hallways. Had trouble finding our room because it was SO DARK and no one gave us any assistance or even a flashlight to find our room. Also had a lot of trouble cancelling our reservation at the end of our cruise and finally was able to make a long distance telephone call ($$$$$) from my ship, Windstar, to my travel agent who was finally able to cancel my return visit to this hotel at the end of my cruise.
The room was ok
