Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdom-Super friendly staff, they really made the visit great -Location slightly outside of the buzz was perfect, a short motorbike ride away -Excellent value! Really what more could we say…also a lot of ease with renting motorbikes, refilling water… -We did a lot of boat tours in Philippines, the tour with Dong was the most chill and memorable, we really enjoyed -I see other comments about roosters and dogs making noises…I mean anywhere you go you will hear some roosters, personally I am a light sleeper and just had my earplugs sometimes and slept just fine, some days didn’t event need them -The water temperature was just perfect for us, not cold at all -No bugs or mosquitoes in the bungalow, and it was super nice and cool, no need for AC!

PolandBe aware that there is no hot water in the shower and that walls of bungalows are extremely thin so you'll hear everything. Room was quite dark. Extra light bulb would be appreciated. If you're looking for an exclusive stay that's not a place for you. Nevertheless, still great value for money.
Great value for money. The place is a little bit on the side so it's relatively quiet although be prepared for early wake up by roosters if you're not wearing earplugs ;) Staff was very friendly and helped us arrange a snorkeling trip which was great. Bungalows are perfect for this price. There is a little terrace in front where you can chill, bed is quite comfy, there is a mosquito bed and overall everything is fine. You can order simple but very cheap breakfast from the staff and you can also make yourself instant coffee which is complimentary. Water refill is also free which is pretty much a standard in Philippines. In the beginning we had a small issue with water pressure but that got resolved quite quickly so again a plus for the staff for prompt action.

United KingdomNothing, it was perfect - some comments talk about the chickens being loud in the mornings but honestly once you come to PB you’ll realise they are everywhere so hard to get away from, just helps you wake up nice and early to start the day!
This place was just perfect. Just outside of the main town of Port Barton, so it was lovely and quiet but in walking distance. The room was so clean and well equipped, it’s quite rustic so sort of a glamping situation in a bamboo lodge with a private bathroom. The family who ran it are sooo lovely and friendly, always asking us if we needed anything or how our day was, they did our laundry and always had free drinking water for us! Couldn’t recommend it enough, it made our stay in PB so amazing!

NetherlandsUnfortunately the neighbors have many roosters. Obviously the property can’t do anything about it, but if you’re a light sleeper like me, it can have serious challenges. I already have earbuds (which the property can also provide), but they didn’t work enough for me. I did move to another cabin which was great, but the best solution for me was just to go to bed early and wake up early, which is nice to rise with the sun up :)
Very friendly and helpful staff, great huts, with proper mosquito net. All very clean. Free morning coffee and water throughout the day. The staff is really great!

NetherlandsYou can hear cocks and noise early morning but this happens in the whole village i believe.
Beautiful chalets with private toilet and towels. There was also a fan, water and coffee available all the time for guests. It is 10min walk to the center and good value for money for a private chalé. The family working there was very sweet and helpul. They can help with tours and transport arrangement. They were also very nice to let us use the shower after checkout.

GermanyThe owner was super nice and helpful with everything we needed. The location is pretty nice and the dogs around are very friendly. In the direct area around are a lot of chickens that are very loud. But you get used to it and at night you need to have oropax. If you are okay with that, it’s a loverly stay! To the centre it’s a walk of 15 min. You can rent a scooter from the owner. All in all we highly recommend and would love to come back someday!

The bungalows were comfortable and very clean. The garden is beautiful and the owners/managers are super nice couple. Mr Dong arranged for us an amazing boat day trip (private boat) for 2000 PHP each. We snorkeled in multiple locations with seat turtle, coral reefs and had lunch on paradisiac island.

FinlandThe property was a little far from the town, but honestly it was very nice walking around and you can also rent a scooter from the family. No wifi available, but it’s a good time to put your phone away.
I spent my Christmas here and I think I haven’t stayed at a place that is as welcoming as Back Trippers Inn! The room was very comfortable and it was very peaceful, the hammock outside is a nice touch. The bed is also very comfortable! Amazing value for the price. The family owning this accommodation was extremely sweet and their daughter, Dimple, showed me a beautiful waterfall and the town. The family was always checking up on me, free coffee was always outside my hut and they were always talking to me, keeping me company and inviting me to celebrate Christmas with them. I felt very welcome and I couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas:) Salamat!
