Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe dogs can bark throughout the night, and the beds are on the harder side but comfortable enough. Take some earplugs or ask to stay on the huts on the water, and you will be fine.
This is a little slice of heaven. It is the perfect way to really rest and relax, with friendly staff and a family atmosphere. The hammocks are especially appealing. You will experience going to the toilet or showering with the local wildlife (a hermit crab or gecko etc) but it's all part of the fun. The staff can order food in for you, or you can wander to the stalls up the road. We also caught a tricycle to the local supermarket and bought some bits in too, as we are vegetarian and less options available. The staff organised tours for us, including trips to the Puerto Princesa underground river and an island hopping tour. There are plenty more available but it was too rough out at sea when we visited. The staff keep communal areas clean and tidy. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the Philippines. We made a video showing the layout on https://www.youtube.com/@JourneywithJessica if you want to see what it really looks like. Give us a like and subscribe if you find this useful. Thanks.

AustriaA once-in-a-lifetime experience with locals, living literally ON the beach! I highly recommend it and am really grateful for everyone there. The owner and Chris were super nice, made a chill coffee in the morning and even offered some local snacks for free for breakfast. I had a lovely stay and would definitely come back :)

NetherlandsThe bamboo places are not soundproof, therefore you should consider that before booking this place, sometimes at nights you can hear the sounds from outside. Being very much animal friendly, there is always cats and dogs around there, so you should consider that they might come to you and look at you with their innocent eyes asking for food haha, or it is good to know that if you have allergy to cats. Considering the very budget friendly accommodation, Bamboo Nest is a GREAT value for your money and for us it was ok with both of these things and they couldn’t make us less happy.
Together with my partner, we stayed in Bamboo Nest beachfront for 4 nights (initially it was only 2 nights abd we extended to 4) and that was the signature of our stay in Puerto Princesa. It was a Saturday night when we arrived and staff prepared food for everyone and were playing music together with other guests - it was absolutely a great start! They helped us with everything. If you need a kitchen, there is a small one with basic things you might need, toilets are always quite clean, shower is warm (you can directly set the temperature yourself), beds are comfortable, ambiance is beautiful just being in a bamboo room is super nice! No mosquitos issue due to the lime tree they have! A lot of dogs and cats here playing and making it lovelier! You can also rent a scooter from them. And also you can order food by them (There is a very close by kitchen with affordable prices and good quality).

Very nice being at the beach Helpful staff, they helped organize some snorkeling tour and also our transportation to airport. It was nice to sit and chat in the bar area. In our room we really liked the little balcony.

United StatesBamboo’s Nest Beachfront is an amazing place! The natural design is stunning, and staying in the floating house and villa was a unique experience. The whole staff, including Chris and owner Jonathan, were so friendly and caring. We loved the sweet dogs and cats—they made it feel even more special. Such a fun and relaxing spot—we can’t wait to come back!

GermanyThe tent was to small for me but since I'm 200cm tall I cannot complain I'm used to this problem.
Super friendly staff and host. Nice community. Jam Sessions at Sunday/Saturday. Chris was especially friendly and helpful, gave recommendations. When I complained about a sore neck he gave me a massage 10/10 :). Flucky was cooking delicious food almost every day and never wanted money for it.The other visitors were also very friendly. The location is directly at the beach, built out of bamboo and beautifully decorated. There are many spots to hang out and about 10 hammocks hanging in the are.

AustraliaWe are used to shared bathrooms as we are camping a lot, but the location and set up of the showers could be improved here.
Great bamboo houses with views of the lagoon. Very special place to stay. Our stay was very short, just 1 night after a long flight, so it was conveniently located close to the airport. The host also arranged the transfer from the airport and the van for El Nido transfer, which was very convenient.

We absolutely loved this accommodation. It was light, airy, spacious, relaxing, ultra clean and unique. Jonathan, Chris and all the team were very friendly and helpful. We have spent 3 weeks travelling in the Philippines and no other property we stayed in came close to Bamboo Nest, I can’t recommend it enough!

New ZealandThe menu doesn't have many vegetarian options.
So happy we chose to stay here for 2 nights. Waking up next to the sea and watching the sunset with a beer on the beach without spending a fortune was fantastic. There are lots of seating areas and hammocks - all with a view. We appreciated an upgrade to the upstairs room with a balcony. The shared bathrooms were always clean and the showers worked well . Chris was really friendly and helpful and the airport pickup was a bonus. We enjoyed walking to the local market street on our first morning.

If you want a truly authentic stay you can't go past Bamboo Nest Beachfront. We loved it. Jonathan and his staff were amazing. We were there for New Years Eve and they cooked dinner (including coconut wine) for our family of 10 and many locals and had a jam session on the beach. I believe he does the jam session every Saturday night but probably not the dinner. Totally recommend this place - we all loved the experience.

United KingdomWe loved our stay in one of these beautiful, creative bamboo structures. The tent was very comfortable and we enjoyed the gentle rocking at high tide! The staff were also very kind, lovely and welcoming people. Location near the airport is very accessible if you have a flight. If it hadn't been our last night on Palawan, we definitely would've stayed longer!
