Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaIt was just a bit of an inconvenience having to ride the local transport into and out of the hotel as the roads were undeveloped. But that just added to the fun aspect of being out of the normal "hotel/resort" atmosphere.
I loved Bamboo Nest for its location. It was way off the noise and hustle of the crowded town. It was undeveloped roads that kept this place from being a 5 out of 5, but I can't complain. Compared to the town/city, the quiet nature was welcomed. The cool breeze, bamboo enclosure, the hidden location kept us wishing we could permanently move here. It is NOT for those that are accostumed to glamour and upscale. It's a sticks and bamboo home with 10 rooms and 7 bathrooms

NorwayBamboo Nest was really beautiful! The common outside and inside areas were big, clean, and well-equipped. Showers and kitchen are also clean and easy accessable. The rooms were really cute and clean, exactly the bungalow feeling I was looking for. Our host, Jonathan, was very welcoming, helpful and compassionate. Would definitely visit again!

All staff were really lovely. Like living in a treehouse jungle for a night! Lots of animals around, all very friendly and part of the family. Go to their sister accommodation on the beach front for a relaxing chilled drink. Street food options near by were cheap and good.

SpainI liked everything! Mostly the structure style and the vibe, but also the cleanness, everyone who works there, the beers at the beach front. Hands down the best hostel I’ve found in the Philippines.

United KingdomIt is a really charming hostel for those who want a rustic, jungle experience with the fun if staying in a bamboo treehouse! There’s lots of cats and dogs, all of which are friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. Jonathan was a brilliant host and helped me to book tours and transport. You can also use the bamboo nest at the beach to go and have some drinks. A very lovely experience, thank you for having me.

AustraliaNoisy in residential area. Noisy seating area directly underneath rooms. Weird location down a very crappy road and military bases.
Cute design and concept, bathrooms everywhere. Comfy beds, plenty of space. Communal kitchen with free water refills, tea and coffee. Wifi

AustraliaSpacious rooms. Lots of hang out zones / hammocks. Kitchen has everything you need. Plus coffee. The entire place is well kept and extremely clean by staff who are also very polite, hopeful and friendly. Location is within the village. Which is a lovely experience. The local people are kind, friendly and helpful. We ate at restaurant next to bamboo nest. Clarissa/Owner is lovely and accommodated to our dietary choices. Jonathan.. what a superstar. He helped organise all of our tours and transport. Always close by if you need anything and returned all message within minutes. Thank you!! We also bonded with the animals they are apart of the house. They are lovely and playful, but also know how to keep distance.

CanadaNice. We liked the authenticity, in general good location but we got mixed up on the roads in and out a lot. Clean and comfortable the fans in the room worked well. Liked the use of kitchen and lots of space to hang out. And the cats were cute and friendly but sometimes partied too late into the night ( with the roosters and dogs).

United KingdomThe walls are like paper, obviously you’re going to hear dogs fighting and cockerels all day long in the Philippines, but there were no windows just mosquito nets so I could hear different rooms conversations etc which meant I didn’t sleep great before my flight. Also no a/c just a fan and the building is fully open to the elements so I got a fair few bites despite mosquito spray
Close to the airport it was 150-200 pesos for a tuktuk there. Host is so lovely recommended places and offered to take me to the other bamboo nest for an event they were having

United KingdomIt’s not too difficult to find and the staff will give you the option of an airport taxi once you book, as well as directions to the hostel if you go on your own but the tuktuk I got from the airport had difficulty getting me there because of the military road, so maybe book the transportation with the hostel (it’s the same price)!!
The building itself is so lovely and there is a delicious restaurant just 1 minute away on the military road that cooked me vegetarian meals during my stay, the staff are extremely helpful and I even managed to book a last minute shuttle to Port Barton with no problem because of them! The art around the place is seriously awesome and the dogs and cats are so cute (if you lie on the hammock sometimes the cats jump into your lap)!
