We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe villagers were friendly and helpful. We ate local prepared village dishes from the Sari Sari shop just down the stairs from CBHaus. The room was hot and basic, but clean. The owners were friendly and helpful. CBHaus overlooks the village. The money we saved on food and accommodation helped us to do more adventures and day trips. The village is hidden from sight and tourist don't venture here.

AustraliaRooms were quite hot. It was a little difficult to find as you have to go down a small alley way and through a local village. Some signage would be helpful.
Basic rooms. Good for short stay. Kitchen is well equipped and included free drinking water. Close to the beach and less than a 10 minute walk to main attractions and restaurants in Coron.

United KingdomNo airflow in the room. The price is high for what you get, BUT is reasonable for El Nido as everything here is expensive. The walls are very thin so other (inconsiderate) guests can keep you awake
Location was fantastic, not too far from the bus station and walking distance from the beach and all the bars and eateries with lots of shops close by. The family caretakers were lovely, very friendly and always helpful, and kept everywhere clean. The room was small and dark, but we knew this before booking from the pictures. It had an opening window with fly screen, and a fan. The accommodation is up the hill in the village. All the local people are really friendly and helpful. There are 8/10 rooms, 5 at the back with the window opening onto a wall (which we had) and 5 opening out over the village. The 2 toilets and 2 showers are shared by all 10 rooms so can be a bit busy at times, but was never a problem. The kitchen area has a few utensils, 2 gas rings for cooking and free drinking water, tea and coffee. There is also a seating area in the kitchen and outside with a hammock. We booked a scooter for the day with a local shopkeeper in the village for a very reasonable price. WiFi was the BEST we've had in the six weeks we've been in the Philippines

GermanyOnly one fork in the kitchen and you have to park your scooter 2min walk away from the house because it's on a hillside. Only cold shower but for me it wasn't a problem.
We were surprised because it only had a 6,5 rating on booking.com. Luckily our window was towards the valley so there is almost nothing to complain about. The staff can help you with tours and the accomodiation was really clean. The kitchen can be really useful and the unli free drinking water was also good. Quiet location in a small village behind el nido port. Wifi alright and necessary because bad sim reception in this area. Fan into the direction of the bed for a good sleep. Toilet paper and towels provided.

United KingdomThe path to get to the accommodation is very interesting. We never felt unsafe (and it was really nice to get "good mornings" from the locals everyday) but it was a proper locals village and showed the reality of life for the poorer workers. The accommodation itself is absolutely fine. Unfortunately the local government prioritises the electricity for the big hotels and main tourist area, as a result they stop giving electricity to the local villages, on rotation. On Saturday night, presumably to power the important disco lights etc, we were left with no electricity (therefore no fans) for 8 hours one night. There is nothing the host can do about it, unfortunately.
Great price for El Nido. The hosts are really friendly. The room was clean with good storage. Very clean bathroom with good power in the shower. Short walk into town.

BelgiumSituated in the local neighbourhood 'Cabugao'. - Quiet, away from El Nido's (busy) touristic centre, yet still close to it. - Superfriendly staff. Joan picked me up from the main street. - Free water. - A kitchen, where you can cook. - Price value.

AustriaThe only negative thing is the weak wifi and really bad internet connection. So not good for people who work remote. But it's definitely not the hosts failure. Everything else was amazing!
It's in the middle of a local village, 100m away from the main streets. It takes you a 10 minutes walk to the middle of the center. The staff was awesome and the room really clean and comfy. You can use the kitchen and there is also a sitting area outside. I totally enjoyed my stay.

The place is in a good location as walking distance from the main road with restaurants and from the port (15min by walk). WiFi work goods. Toilet and kitchen are clean, bed are comfortable and it's a good value for the money. We arrived late but the staff was very nice and welcoming.

GermanyThe room was warmer than the outside temperature and the fan didn't help much. The location is rather out of the action and the walk to the accommodation is anything but pleasant.
The room was quiet. The bathrooms were quite clean, but there was no sink there. You had to wash your hands and brush your teeth in the kitchen, which you were allowed to use.

ItalyFirat, the property doesn’t really show where it is located. the outside is something that u cannot expect and you should be aware before booking. Second, to find it it took us 20 min or more; we were with a local taxi driver who helped us and was super kind but even for him it was super difficult. we needed to call twice and ask to different people on the street once we arrive there, we needed to get thought an alley of trash, crossed several insecure little “bridges” and then there are local ppl house and u need to go upstairs at some point. Forth, the bathroom. the bathroom was essentially a closet with a shower Fidth, the room itself was very small. I felt I was claustrophobic I was not expecting anything luxurious but I have been in el nido in better places for just 200 pesos more. Clean places and spacious

Indonesia-Location is just not what I imagined. Sure it's only a few minutes to the beach but to get to the accommodation you have to navigate through a local village from the main road. There's no paved road, several wooden worn down bridges, narrow dark alley ways and steep uneven stairs. Beware the path is dotted with animal feces and other dirt /debris. Definitely not suitable if you have mobility problems or traveling with big /lots of luggage. I stepped into dog shit so many times, kinda dampens the whole paradise mood. -Very narrow bed with a sliver of matrass. Not suitable for couples. -No wifi nor cell phone reception. Very isolated, not recommend when you need internet -One big mosquito fest. Have to put repellent just to go the toilet. - there was a big rat in the kitchen rummaging through the trash bin -I had some concerns about fire safety or safety in general - lots of animal noise and fighting stray dogs, didn't have one night of good sleep - just 2 toilets and one is missing a seat. - just 1 working shower with cold water for 10 rooms, potentially 20 people?
- Communication was swift and reception friendly so I feel kinda bad writing this but the whole picture needs to be painted for travellers to make an informed decision. -Somewhat clean space from first glance though the method of cleaning is not very hygienic (dirty old rags, no soap used, hand washed linens). They should have provided indoor slippers as the unspoken rule was to walk around barefoot. -it's budget friendly for El Nido and if you're looking for a slice of very local simple life this is it
