Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Australiawhile the experience was authentic, some modern comforts were lacking, making the stay a bit less comfortable than expected
The house itself offered a rustic charm, giving us a glimpse into traditional living. The peaceful surroundings and cultural atmosphere made it feel like a true escape into nature.

AustraliaThe native hut was very difficult to access and way too basic with outdoor facilities (it was raining!). But Nona Gloria put us in an indoor room with a wonderful view.
The food in the restaurant was pretty good and very reasonably priced. Nona Gloria was very accommodating.

NetherlandsVery charming traditional houses remodeled to guest rooms, on the top of the hill with a great feeling and view whether there was fog or sunshine. Bare minimum amenities and bathrooms outside of the room (quite obvious) so you don’t come here for these but for the location and the experience. Good food also provided on demand.

PhilippinesOur room did not have wifi yet, toilet is a bit far and is advisable to bring a portable toilet for old people who frequent toilet visits especially at night. Kept banging our head because of low clearance but it is not the property’s fault; slippery stairs going up again not the property’s fault because we stayed while it was raining and fogging (Dec 24)

United KingdomI really wish there was an electric fan available or provided. I struggled to sleep as it was warm for me.
Staff were quite accommodating. We had a change of heart with the rooms and they agreed to swap for a fee. From native houses we transferred to modern stone rooms which suited our family (senior and children). We also had late lunch and everything was fresh and tasty. Each dish was actually good for 2. Funnily enough my favorite part of the accommodation is the amazing bathroom/shower.

United KingdomThe bathroom facilities needing upgrade such as the shower hot and cold water supply. Need to have a tea and coffee maker installed in the hut.
The uniqueness of the Ifugao ‘nipa’ hut is such an amazing experience to stay for couple of nights right up on top of the mountain.

FranceBreathtaking views on the Banaue Rices Terraces Very nice natives huts with toilets nearby. Restaurant on site. Possibility to have organized private trips. We chose 1 dayx2pax tour in the Rices terrasses (Batad and Banawe) and 1 day trip Apo Whang Od. Very interesting trips but pricy. Recommended!

United StatesTo be fair, there wasn't anything I disliked. Having said that, I'm glad we stayed only one night because having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night was inconvenient, especially for someone my age (68). To reach the huts, you would have to go through a small village; they are not next to the main highway. Being away from the Center of Town was a negative. However! I knew all this before going, so it is not the fault of the accommodation. My reco would be to stay one night, enjoy the surroundings and the vibe, and then move to another hotel closer to the town center. We were fortunate that we came with CODA Bus line because they stop at the Tourism Center, where I pre-arranged the next day's tour. If you don't, it would be a bit of a hassle.
I wanted to experience an authentic Ifugao hut, and I did! It was fun and interesting, and restful, because there was electricity inside to charge phones and lights all around the hut, even going to the bathroom at night. The bathrooms were clean and modern but separated from the hut, which is as it should be. Otherwise, if the hut had a bathroom inside, it would not have been an authentic experience. The views were wonderful, and the food in the restaurant was fine. It was very peaceful and quiet at night, that we overslept! The owner and her family were very nice and welcoming. I'm glad they are in the hospitality business because I was able to fulfil one more thing in my bucket list...

PhilippinesIt’s the little things like there is no drinking water in the huts. There is also no hot water unless you buy 1 thermos of hot water which will take you about 150 meters going down. At night, it gets cold and you would want to drink hot coffee. Using extension cord is also prohibited when there is only 1 socket inside the hut.
We like that we get to experience how to live in a native hut commonly used by Ifugao families. The food at the restaurant is also good - tastes like food cooked at home. The lady in the restaurant is friendly and accommodating. We also like the tours to the rice terraces although it would be good if the tour guide briefed us on what to expect so we can make some decisions what to do and not what to do.

United KingdomJust my personal opinion. Would like to had more tea and coffee making facilities and more variety on the menu. Saying this the food I had was excellent, I certainly did not go without.
All staff encountered were amazing. Friendly, engaging and very accommodating. The location is amazing with breathtaking views. The room was comfortable. Toilet and bathroom facilities clean. Car parking onsite convenient. We took a one day tour arranged through the Inn. The process was made very simple. The itinerary provided and we were well prepared for the tour. The transport picked us up as arranged. John was our driver for the day and Jonalyn our guide. The tour was amazing. Jonalyn ensured we visited the most vantagous locations for photographs while giving a detailed account of the local culture and history. The treking across the rice terrace then down to the waterfall was a good workout, Jonalyn ensuring it was at our pace and that we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery. I can sincerely say the tour was probably the most enjoyable I have ever taken during a vacation. I gladly give 10/10 for the itinerary, value for money and guide. Thank you for making such wonderful memories for us. I would certainly consider staying here again.
