A Perfect Spot for Digital Nomads – Highly Recommended!

I stayed at Lexie’s Workspace in Siargao for three weeks, and it was an amazing experience. If you’re looking for a calm, productive place to work and meet like-minded people, this is the perfect spot. It’s not a party hostel, which suited me perfectly. I stayed in the female dorms and met a great group of digital nomads. The atmosphere is friendly, and everyone there was focused on working while enjoying the island’s beauty. The hostel has several common areas, including a rooftop pool with an incredible view, which was a great place to unwind after a day of work. There’s also a co-working space with AC and a fully equipped kitchen, where I could cook meals, which is a huge plus for long stays. They have a restaurant on-site as well, so you never have to worry about food. One of the things I loved most was how responsive the staff was. Siargao is an island, so naturally, bugs are something you have to deal with, especially when you’re staying in the middle of the jungle. When we noticed a few bugs entering the room, we asked for rubber strips to seal the doors, and the next day, they added them to all the dorms! Similarly, when we mentioned that some of the cooking utensils were old or there weren’t enough, they immediately provided new pans, fryers, and cutlery, which made a huge difference. The bathrooms were clean, and while they weren’t luxurious, they were perfectly fine. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They arranged transfers at a great price and were always there to assist, especially during the island-wide power and internet outages. While the Wi-Fi was a bit patchy at times (a common issue on the island), they quickly resolved it with Starlink, and they even told us they were upgrading their routers. Despite a few hiccups with the island’s infrastructure, my stay was nothing short of magical. It was my first time traveling solo, and I made friends from all over the world.

Too far from the center if you dont have a motorbike; Dogs are barking always; Wifi can't reach the rooms.

I like their workspace area. It helps me to focus. I like their pool and the peaceful area. Away from the party. If you want somewhere peaceful this is the place.

No wifi or signal in rooms (maybe a few metres from the co working spaces) I don’t know why the wifi just doesn’t reach the room which was super inconvenient as there’s also no signal in the area. Hot water in the shower was also hit or miss, and the drainage didn’t work so was walking around in dirty water from other showers. My locker was also broken so I couldn’t store any valuable items with a padlock.

    - Nice staff, rooms were big and airy & comfortable bed with easily accessible stairs for top bunks (+++) . Big bathrooms and work space looked good although was too busy so wasn’t able to use it.

The only thing I might not like is despite the reminders and signs "wash your used glass or dishes" or "keep the sink/kitchen area clean" it's still not being followed. The dirty dishes piles up and promotes cats going up the sink and promotes cockroaches or flys.. hope this can be strictly implemented.

I liked every bit of everything in Lexias, everyone is so friendly even the owners - the quiet feeling and our comfortable beds and pillows in our rooms will make you feel truly at peace and promotes deep sleep, gives a sense of security in the area.

Regrettably, my stay fell short of expectations. Despite friendly staff and a pleasant ambiance, the non-functional WiFi in the room and the lack of phone reception when the door was closed proved to be significant inconveniences, especially as reliable connectivity was a key factor in choosing this accommodation. I hope these issues can be addressed to enhance future guests' experiences.

The staff were wonderful and helped us with everything we needed.

The swimming pool was closed for maintenance. They said there was no water to fill it in. The internet didn’t work inside the rooms and it was weak all around. There were many, many networks with different passwords and at the end I just gave up connecting and just used my own data. (when it worked) The road that leads to the hostel is absolutely terrible, they should get it fixed asap because it is dangerous for the guests to drive scooters over those sharp rocks specially at night. The bathrooms and showers could be cleaned more often. The door locker in the room needs a hard push to close which can be disturbing if people are sleeping. The curtains in the beds are white which don’t help for preventing clarity and allowing privacy. The curtains hangers and stairs to climb into upper beds are super noisy. Female dorm is right besides the kitchen area so expect to have people there from early morning till late. Restaurant Menu is expensive with few options and portions are small.

Comfortable beds, pillows and you also get a little blanket. Showers and toilets are big and girls have their own which is great. There is plenty of space to hung out upstairs and at the kitchen area. Location is reasonably good but you will definitely need a scooter which can be arranged at reception.

Was pretty unlucky that the pool wasn’t available. Would have been nice to have been told before booking. The Wi-Fi is great in communal areas and the designated office to work in but a shame it doesn’t work in the bedrooms. PLEASE change the metal curtain hooks to either plastic or material. I was unlucky in my room with some guests not caring how much noise they made and slid the curtain open and shut constantly and the noise was horrific.

Lovely place! Lots of areas to chill and hand office to work in! I was lucky with my room and had the white curtains which looked lovely. The bed was so comfy and felt new and there were two really nice pillows.

Booked this hotel for the "workspace". The wifi doesn't work in any of the room. Only on the rooftop and in a tiny room that isn't really a vibe. The rooftop isn't in the best condition either, neither the best place to work. Also it's quite hard to access to hotel. The rooms are super simple, not much natural lights, not very confortable. It's very expansive for what it is.

Rooftop view and pool is quite ok!

Dogs all over on the stuff.

I messaged & called the Hostel numerous times before my stay, but was unable to get ahold of them via phone. The lady at the desk said that their Admin is supposed to do it, but the desk staff doesn't have access. Big gap in miscommunication IMO. I booked my room not too long before I stayed - the island was in a brown out (No power for a week) and nobody warned me about this before my stay. I showed up at the hostel to check in, just to find out and it lasted another week during my whole stay. Luckily this hostel had a generator and the conditions were not their fault, but they could have at least warned me. The staff was nice, but 1/4 of the time I didn't think they understood what we were asking. Kitchen space is nice, but people take the dishes to their rooms and it was a battle most days to find a cup for coffee or silverwear to eat at times. The pool area upstairs is nice, but not a lot of space to lay out in the sun. Most of the chairs/furniture are under a roof... which would have been super nice, but there's a lot of dogs that they allow to run around the hostel - so numerous time I walked up to dog poop in the middle of the pool area, dog pee on the kitchen floors, cat sleeps on the table and dogs lay on the furniture & play in the pool - making everything dirty. When the pool was clean, it was REALLY nice! You really want to get a scooter to get around the main tourist loop from this hostel - the hostel is set back from the main road & in a section where not much is going. It's not near any of the main areas to eat or do stuff. I didn't find a close beach to go to, needed a scooter. I had a one and quickly made friends who wanted to sit on the back of mine to catch rides lol. The food at the restaurant upstairs, was limited during the power outage but the one time I ate there it was simple/good/cheap. The kitchen ladies were REALLY sweet!

Poor wifi signal in the rooms. Dorm rooms are very basic and a little cramped.

Location is away from the main area but really peaceful. The pool is stunning as it overlooks the island and you really feel away from it all. There are multiple different areas to relax.

    - Terrible shared rooms The pictures do not correspond with the reality. Maybe the pictures are from when they first opened the place. They really need to invest in refurbishment. The room was full of mold which is damaging for ones health. The smell was humid and moldy. There were cockroachs in my bed, dirty tissues abandoned. Really it was horrible, I would not recommend. The empty beds look abandoned and its very creepy. - The plug to charge in my bed did not work. There was also no Wifi nor mobile network in the rooms and in the lower floow. Which makes no sense being a hostel for digital nomads. - They advertise motorbikes for 250php per day for a month and when you go to reserve it they say its actually 350php, that the price list is not updated. In other places I got offered 250php. They are pricey and not worth it. - The pool is boiling hot, has hairs floating constantly. The stairs are too many to get there, slim and unconfortable. - Most of the locked to not properly close, the system is broken or nearly broken - They do not even sell water nor anything. You have to walk in the dark skipping the barking aggresive dogs that are in the dark alleys where the hostel is located, to go find a shop to buy something. Good luck cause there are no shops near. I have spent 2 months in the Philippines and this accomodation was the most expensive one and the one with the least quality. Terrible really the charge double and provide no quality.

    - The coworking space is good - The bathrooms are spatious

everything. dirty, smelly, hot water never working, plugs could barely hold the charger. we payed extra to get private room rather then dorm but the experience was totally the same. at the end we did come up with a solution for our stay, but the owners didnt seem botherd at all by our incoveniences and even told us that they were not aware of water problems. (i was telling the reception multiple times a day) Pool was just discusting, full of bugs that noone cleaned. And the excuse that we are on an island is not valid, becase we didnt experience this anywhere else on Siargao. If you are very tight on a budget, and would only stay a night, why not, but not for a long stay.

The shower rooms weren't cleaned every night time or afternoon. There were times when the shower floor had clogged water which could be dangerous for the vacationers. Their manager could be friendlier to the guests and other staff.

The location was a great place for digital nomads since it's kilometers away from the centre and it's less noisy in the area. The co-working spaces were amazing and the view from the place was nice as well. They had a good internet connection in the co-working spaces except inside the bedroom areas. They had a great food menu. The staff were great; most of them were outgoing.

I'm writing this as in my opinion people who check in should know. I booked for 2 nights as I was attracted by co-working space but I didn't expect it to be attacked by owner dogs twice. On the first day walking up the stairs they surrounded me and barked. It took staff 20s to react - way tooooo long. Second time when I started my moto. The owner saw it and tried to call them. Luckily nothing happened I wasn't bitten but the first time in my life I was scared of dogs. The owners apologised and refunded my money but they have a problem of the dogs aggression there that I don't recommend anyone to experience it. Please do the dogs training and don't let this happen again. Good luck!
