The only thing that disappointed me is the fact that there was no hot water in the shower. Obviously, this is a hot climate, so it's not the end of the world, but generally, hot water is an expectation I have as a traveller.

The most amazing thing about this place is Beverly, the person who manages it. She is friendly, easygoing, and extremely helpful. Even if this place was crap (which it isn't), I'd struggle to give it a bad rating because of how wonderful she is.

Like everyone mentioned the place is next to a road and not isolated very well. As a light sleeper I managed to sleep fine with earplugs, as the roads are pretty quiet at night. They did wake me up in the morning but just in time for breakfast.

The staff was really friendly and waited for us until quite late so we could check in after a long bus drive.

Shower wasn't too good, and neither was the location. It was okay, but we had to rent scooters to get to the good part of Moalboal, but thats also our mistake as we shouldve known that tbh

Really clean, a little distance from the beach but cheap by tuk tuk. Close to a big mall + McDonald’s etc. free breakfast and really lovely host, the rooms were also just really clean and comfortable:)

It was a bit far out from Panagsama beach but once we rented a motorbike this was not an issue.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast which was included was super tasty and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

The staff were very friendly and guided us on a number of issues (e.g. how to get a bus to Bato). We also rented a scooter from the reception. Breakfast was included. We got our bottles topped up with water every time we asked - which was great! The room was clean and quite spacious for the price we paid. The location is close to the main shopping mall and jollibees. It is a 10min tricycle ride to panagsama beach.

There isn’t much facilities but for the price you can’t complain! For us this wasn’t an issue though as we spent our days out and about.

We really enjoyed our stay at LR Hostel and Cafe. It’s a little spot about a ten minute tuk tuk/scooter ride from the main tourist spot in Basdiot. The staff were lovely and attentive, evening moving our washing round with the sun. Breakfast was cooked fresh every morning with a good menu and choice. The bed was clean and comfortable. The shower had hot running water.

Shower head needs attention, it was somewhat clogged so the water only came out in a couple of places.

Our lady host was so friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast which you order the night before. We had a constant supply of water refils which was very much appreciated. Bike rental available with full tank to start with! Basic, small and clean room. Comfy mattress and some hanging space. Air con, Cold shower which is not my favourite but fine for a couple of nights. Separate shower and loo. Fairly busy road as well but we slept fine. Our host helped us flag down the bus for our onward journey across the road from the hostel which saved us a hot walk to the centre. Quite a distance away from Panagsama Beach but tricycles readily available.

The walls were thin resulting in us hearing a lot of what was going on outside our room. When going to bed, we could unfortunately hear rats in the ceiling. While the rooms were very clean, this made sleeping a bit uncomfortable.

The hostess was lovely and very welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast option in the mornings. She was super helpful in making sure we got the correct bus for our trip south of the island.

There was a trail of ants coming from the toilet, to out of the door into the yard. It was from a hole in the toilet wall. Not too sure if I missed the heater, but showered with cold water everyday, good for the hot weather. You could hear animals walking on the ceiling at night, and it scared me initially, but it's alright. It is far from the beaches, better to rent your own scooter. If not, it's real easy to get a ride.

Breakfast was great! Facilities (toilet/ shower) were good. The aircon was strong. Bed was good enough. Rather spacious, sufficient hangers. Even though it's beside the main road, you can't hear the traffic. And being beside the main road means it's really easy to take the bus.

Good accommodation in Moalboal near the bus station to Cebu/Liloan Port and you can actually just jump on the bus at the accommodation because it passes by. It takes around 15 minutes by scooter to get to Panagsama where all restaurants/cafes/etc are. The wifi worked great and the AC was strong and quiet. The room was clean and we liked the bathroom that’s not the typical wet bathroom. Breakfast was included which was great. Even though the accommodation is at the main road it was quiet at night.

around 4.3 km from panagsama beach 😞 that’s the only thing that I didn’t like.so we just stayed 1 night. it’s not the hostel fault I didn’t think that 4. km was that far.

There are ants some on my bed and was no hot water. Roosters and dogs "choir" began "singing" early in the morning I guess around 5am. The way into the room is paved with natural rocks so it is not easy to carry heavy suitcases even though they are all on the ground floor. (Luckily the staff/owner(?) helped out.)

It is really important to know your check-in time and inform the hostel because the staff is not alwasy there. The staff is helpful and easy to communicate. The beds are good and confortable. We got to choose our breakfast (included in the accommodation charge) from their menu the evening before.

You need to take a Tricycle to go to the beach or see the sardines. It's close but far (not walkable) from everything.

The rooms were basic, but the staff were amazing. Not only did we check in 3 hours early, the staff went out of their way to make you feel special by making our breakfast look different every morning. Close to the mall.
