Shower pressure was hit and miss but has been the same most of the islands on Philippines. Drinks/food overpriced but to be expected as not many places to go. They don't take card either but a restaurant further down the beach does.

Felt like a private beach for the mad monkey customers, social, lots of toilets and showers.

The prices in the hostel for food are VERY expensive in comparison to the surrounding places on Nacpan / rest of the Philippines, especially for a backpacker hostel. They also charge ₽20 per litre to refill a bottle (the drinking water is always tepid as the refill station sits in the sun) whereas most other hostels we have stayed in provide free water refills. There is also no hot water in the showers whatsoever and the pressure of the water varies from average to a literal dribble down the wall.

The hostel is very well located on a stunning beach and the beds are big and very comfy, each with their own fan and mosquito net. The staff were also very good fun and friendly people (they make the place what it is for sure).

I wouldn't naturally choose a party hostel, but it was the only place available 😅 be ready for very loud music, drinking games, etc 🙈 food is not bad, but kinda overpriced. 180php for a glass of ice tea is tough in the Philippines... even on a beautiful beach.

The location right on Nacpan Beach is perfect. For a party hostel everything was clean and in order, especially the bathrooms. Big plus.

food menu could definitely be improved for vegan/vegetarian and was pretty expensive. shower pressure was bad even when nobody else was in the shower. location was super far from everything, be prepared to spend 1600php to get a tuktuk to el nido and back for any tours

staff were amazing, josh and remi made the stay. activities at night were really good fun. beach was really great. large and comfy beds. the tour the hostel did was really good

The lack of AC was a bit tough, there are fans next to every bed but the rooms are still quite hot and sticky

Dangerous steps, no door/curtain on the loft, power outlet is hard to rich, no hot water.

Located right on the beach. Very polite and fun staff. They gathered all the guests for a welcome party with games and drinks and everybody had a great time. Amazing experience.

wifi was barley working, and the weather made it worse. also be prepared for sand since it’s right on the beach and you can’t avoid it.

its the perfect place for chill beach days and party nights. mad monkey is always a great choice, the staff is amazing and you always meet the best people here. safely because of the storm i couldn’t get the full experience, so i’m definitely coming back next time.

Food is a bit overprized, but there are cheaper options close by.

I loved it there. :) It was super easy to meet new people as a solo traveller. Parties were great and loads of fun. Special shoutout to Moon and Jess from the staff, they were incredibly nice and made my stay so much better, felt rigt at home. :)

This place offers you some cult nightlife vibes, here there's a cons: a neighbour in my same dormitory was drunk and he took his beer bottle into his bed (above my bed), he accidentally left the bottle opened and spilt twice the left beer down into my mattress as a result I had to ask the staff to sleep into another bed, cos my bed got wet. I kindly invite the staff to watch out for inappropriate behavior of some not respinsible guests at night.

I liked the minimalistic style overall, the dormitories and toilets built by bamboos including the showers, and the comfy light blue beach sofas, all this in front of Nachapan beach make this hostel unique! Last but not least, the staff is very kind and clever in getting everything sorted out for your trip plans.

We got lots of bites, don’t know if it’s the sandflies. There was a sign warning about Sandflies, but I was not informed before booking the property.

Beach Front, staff were nice. Lots of restaurants along the beach. The beach sand was so fine but waves was too strong (not for people who are afraid of strong waves)

I noticed I had been bitten by bedbugs. Two other guests also had bites, and we were all staying in different dorms—quite concerning. I understand that bedbugs can be part of the backpacker experience, but what really disappointed me was the staff's reaction. They refused to believe us, insisting the bites were from sandflies or mosquitoes. When I searched my bed for proof, I actually found a bug, but they dismissed it as just an insect—too much of a coincidence. I did a check in the hospital and they comfirmed the bedbugsbites. I asked the hostel for compensation since I now have to wash all my clothes and luggage and buy medicine for the itching, but they refused to do anything. For a hostel with such a big name, I expected better service—very disappointing. I hope they will take care of the problem for future travelers, but I’m not sure since they don’t seem to take it seriously.

Loved the location and the staff here especially - Isabella went out of her way to make sure we had a great time and hosted fun events for us every night! Would definitely recommend. Someone accidentally took my bag and Isabella took time out of her day to help us find it!
