Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryEverything is full with ants. They got into my backpack, to all my clothes... Bathroom is always WET. Always. The mattress had a huge lock in the middle as too much people slept on it already. Room is way too small, its very hard to put your stuff anywhere. Lockers are very few for too many people, so probably you cannot use it anyway.
Wifi is good, there is hot water. There is also breakfast. Its very close to the beach.

CanadaThe water pressure in the bathroom is not very good. If you take a long shower, the water will stop running. If you are coming from Tagbilaran ferry port, you can take a tricycle or call a Grab taxi to take you to the hostel. It should not cost more than 400-500 pesos. The private shuttle offered by the hostel is 1000 pesos.
A wonderful hostel in a great location. The staff were very nice and helped me arrange a day tour around Bohol. I stayed in the capsule dorm since I wanted extra privacy. The bed was comfortable and there was A/C in the room. Breakfast is included as well. My stay coincided with Christmas and the hostel staff invited all the guests to their Christmas dinner. I must say, it was one of the best experiences I had in the Philippines! The food was so delicious and it was incredible to participate in local Filipino traditions and culture! I absolutely loved it!!!

The location and the shared space were the best thing of this hostel.

The location is great. We also liked the complimentary breakfast, it was basic (toast with butter and banana jam or oats with different toppings) but we enjoyed it. The room was okay.

PhilippinesThe light (yellow) and the price. It's a bit pricey for me given that there is no private bathroom.
I like the bed. It's comfortable and big and the pillow sheet is not like the canvas-type fabric they had in the female dorm. It was spacious enough which can fit around 2 adult and 2 kid. there's table, chair, sofa, hanger, clothesline, 2 outlet and a half length mirror. There's noise too but minimal. The door is the regular door knob lock unlike in the female dorm that uses automated door access.

PhilippinesRoom - the pillow sheet was a canvas fabric. Really coarse in the skin. The main light is dim. They have a bed light but my eyesight still struggled a little. Aircon is not that cold but there is fan. Bathroom - Shower water pressure is weaaak. Outage - Power interruption for an hour every day on my 3 nights stay. On the 4th day tho it lasted more than 1. One time there was a Water interruption too for an hour when I was in the middle of my shower. Understandable (since they are budget hostel so may not have generator or water tanks) but still frustrating at that time. :((( Good thing tho the staffs helped me and gave me a pale of water to rinse up.
I like that it comes with free very light breakfast. It saves time when you have early call time for your tours. Just 5-10min walk to Alona beach. It's near a lot of Restaus, cafes (e.g. Overgrown), Souvenir shops and Spa. The 4-female dorm-type room is very cheap just 25 bucks. Worth the price since I barely stayed in the room. Altho the facilities are not top tier I'd still recommend this place for solo travellers who are on a budget and out almost whole day and would just need a room to rest a bit. The ambiance is nice too altho there's a bit of noise sometimes in the room since the loc is by the road. The staffs are very accomodating to my requests so that's a plus too. This hostel is still recovering from the aftermath of typhoons and stuffs so I understand if it's lacking in some areas. Still, I recommend.

PhilippinesWe lacked privacy as we had a roommate from another country who disliked noise and was bothered by my alarm. I'd say the location and price were good, but it wasn't the best fit for us. We needed more privacy because we found ourselves laughing at small things. We couldn't help bursting into laughter whenever we felt like it, which bothered others. So, I can say it wasn't quite right for us, although we did have fun staying at Moon Fools Hostel. Thank you for the experience; it felt like we were in the PBB House.
I prefer the people working here more than the room itself. I believe dormitory-style accommodations are suitable for solo travelers rather than groups of three. We still enjoyed the light breakfast because it was free. HEHHEHE.

United Kingdom- bathroom was very dirty - 2/3 of the men’s showers were missing locks - only had hot water in the women’s half of the bathroom - sinks splash water everywhere when trying to use them - hard uncomfortable pillow - cameras in the dorms which is the first time we have seen this, very weird - bike rental was expensive compared to around town - had no change when checking in so told us they would pay it later. After 2 nights we had to ask for the change when checking out.
- self service breakfast was simple but ok - provide flip flops to wear around the hostel - places to hang wet clothes in the bathrooms - good A/C in rooms - good location -lockers for bags
