Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere was not a shared kitchen to cook in, when I asked about the kitchen, it was almost nonexistent, and I was told that I had to pay to use it. Also, there was not a TV in the room as promised.

PhilippinesWhat I didn't like is, the power keeps going out. There this one time we went back to accommodation to find that there's no electricity due to some reason so we had to improvise and use laptop case and use it as a fan. There's also a spider on the ceiling. Good thing none of us were scared of spiders.
I like how minimal it is, they have 2 safebox, 2 towels, a cabinet and table that we moved from terrace so we can use it as a working table, caretaker let us check in advance without payment.

PhilippinesThe bed was very old and fragile. We were sleeping and it suddenly broke in half. Good thing we didn’t had injuries. They transferred us to a new room which was better than the previous one but still kinda sketchy. The rooms was also dirty.
The staff were nice

PhilippinesThe place was quite difficult to locate. Needs more detail in their booking info and needs additional directions in their address. I was lucky enough to have a local driver who had the initiative to accompany me and find the place at night time.
Very cheap and affordable lodging for men who needs a room to stay/sleep in for the night. Their communal/dorm-type room was okay. It wasn't as clean as I thought it would be but passable for the price. The room was air-conditioned. So it's really up to you if you're okay sleeping in a room with other strangers. I stayed for a night for just P500 and that's cheap considering its location.

RomaniaWe have nothing against anyone, but we couldn't rest for two weeks, because of the excessive smell of mold everywhere. Absolutely everything smelled terrible and was very dirty, everything was moldy, including the pillows, we left a week ago and we are still coughing continuously from that mold. The accommodation needs total renovation and absolutely everything that was there has been thrown away. The staff slept in the kitchen which in the ad said was a "shared kitchen". I attached pictures of the initial room they put us in, and from the second I only took pictures of what pillows they put us to sleep on, but the rooms were similar. And they had an air conditioner that sounded like a tractor.

PhilippinesYou get what you pay for but the thing I love the most is, everything was functional. Only a few steps to the beach. Room for 2 was small but A/c was super cold, wifi was working, TV (although small) had Netflix, can cook and with ref. Staff were friendly and helpful. Don’t expect it to be aesthetic but thing is, you can go to alot of aesthetic places in bora for that.

United KingdomWell, where do I start… The room & the bathroom was covered with black mould. The bathroom stank, the drains had a terrible sewer smell. The sheets & mattress had old orange & red stains. The pillows were dirty and lumpy. The ancient air con unit had a thick layer of dust, was clearly never cleaned and gave us breathing issues. There was no toilet paper, soap or any products provided at all throughout the stay. The room was never checked or cleaned, nor were we given any fresh towels. There is no reception and never any staff around to help, no interest in helping us book excursions or onward travel. People were knocking on our door to check in, because no one there seemed to care about the guests. The staff that are there, sit outside your room and play candy crush on full volume throughout the night. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone and every guest going about their business. In our last night, there was a power cut and they do no have a generator, all they did was put out two candles…. This is when the smell on the rooms got even worse because there was no ventilation (other than a window that would not close because it was broken) and neither the fans nor the aircon worked. No compensation was offered.
The only saving grace was that it was close to the beach, but it’s wasn’t close to most of the shops and restaurants.

GermanyWe arrived at 6am - just wanted to leave our bags until check in and explore the island. But the unfriendly lady just gave us a room without saying anything. In the evening she told us that tomorrow we have to leave the hotel at 6am because she gave us the room in the morning (the whole hotel was empty and there were no other customers). Next morning 6am she was in our room waking me up by tapping on my foot aggressively and telling us we have to go now. When I told her that we actually wanted to extend because we will stay for a few days on this island she switched completely and told me in a friendly tone, that we should carry on sleeping and how many days we want to stay in her hotel. But no, thank you :) we just left and took one of the many nice and cheap hotels just next door and had a great time on this island. Room was smelly, the other beds in the dorm rooms were dirty and not made, even though there was no other customer than us and we had to shower with the same bucket we had to flush the toilet with

ColombiaThe room that was meant for us at first didn’t have electricity so they changed us to another one that was not so good, it didn’t have tv, nowhere to hang or place clothes and no fan. It also had a smell of dust all the time if we don’t turn on the AC. The staff seemed to me not so approachable.
The location. However, they need a bigger sign or better directions to arrive. We spent some time trying to find the hotel even with the help of locals.

PhilippinesThe room smells awful and, full of dust. We actually did not continue our stay because it is so creepy and it was not maintained. Doors are full of termites holes. We will not recommend this room rental. Aside from being unpleasant, it is too far from bars and other establishments by the beach. We opted to transfer our booking to another hotel because the place was really awkward. It is not worth the price.
