Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsI can imagine that this place was amazing at the time they started, but it's just really not well maintained and is outdated. I don't mind going 'back to basics', but at least it should be hygienic. This place is not hygienic at all. The mosquito net and the hammock had a disgusting smell, the pillows smelled musty, and the bathroom is just not designed to clean properly. When it's raining like crazy and the only way to reach the place is by walking or driving a scooter through 800 meters of muddy, slippery road (the boat didn't go due to the heavy rain) and thereafter walking plenty of exhausting, irregular steps, I would've hoped to be able to relax in a comfortable room. I'm sorry, but I was truly disappointed.
Kind staff members and an amazing view from the restaurant deck. There were plenty of options on the menu.

The setting : a charming cottage built in the jungle on Loboc river banks. The sound of the jungle's inhabitants once the sun down. The location to visit Bohol main attractions. The possibility to rent scooters. The availability of the host to provide useful information.

AustraliaIf I’m being honest I ended up being given two single beds instead of the double I booked which meant I popped the mattresses on the ground and had to tie the single sheets together (and share the bed with a cat) but I really didn’t mind too much, the jungle sounds in the evening were wonderful to fall asleep to.
I love the river, the sounds and the creatures are amazing, the jungle is lush and gorgeous, the deck is a beautiful place to have a meal and relax. You need to be prepared for being exposed to the jungle and all it has to offer as well as a lot of stairs and potential mud but it’s really a fabulous base to explore Loboc and it’s surrounds. I even saw a flying lizard land in front of me!

BelgiumThis is a total a Rip-off. The road to go there isn't accessible so we had to go by the boat . Well it's not the clients fault they are fixing it. And Take note each ride is 150 php per person. Imagine when you move many times per day? you'll spend a lot of money . I talked to one ofclients of the hotel she said she arrived very late and she has to take the boat and went begging for them to take her to the hotel and paid so much money for it. The room is poorly done to be honest. This resort could be a luxury one in the middle of nature if it could be given more effort and attention. I mean it's so easy to build a resort but with so music effort and details could have been better. Inside the room, it's very poor materials, walls are so thin, you can hear the other side of the room even when taking a dump ! That's how horrible it is. Beds, sheets and pillows are so old. They don't even have a real towel I swear, what they have is a fabric for cleaning. Toilet bowls have no flush button, no proper sink, nothing to put your toiletries inside the bathroom. The door of the room isn't strong enough, the locks are so small so you won't feel secured leaving your things for the day as it is in the middle of the jungle and anyone could come to ransack your room (worst case scenario ). It was a total horror as you have to climb 122 steps going their reception and restaurant. When we check out we asked for an official receipt, they could not even give us one and promise to send us in email. Nothing is working in this hotel. We're very sure that the staff are underpaid. No proper pathway going to the rooms, no big lights . we were in the mud and in the dark walking everyday. You need a flashlight at night or else it wouldn't be convenient at all.
It's a good natural location by the river and so authentic. Yes it's cheap but don't get to comfortable with it. You always get what you have for your money.

Francejust be aware about the accessibility - a lot of stairs. we took the boat from Lobok and it was nice.
Beautiful place, in the middle of the jungle. Nice staff, and a lot of possibilities of activities around (hikes, kayak). you can also rent a scooter directly there.

GermanyGreat place to stay! We found that accomondation by a local advice. A quiet place in the middle of the jungle. The accomondation is offering a shuttle from bohol (panglao) airport or the bohol port. We didnt use that offer, but next time we definitly would. Because it isnt easy to go al the moody way through the jungle even with teo backpacks by foot. If you already have a scooter you also can come by scooter. But take care the road is only made for good drivers.

BelgiumBest accomodation we've had during our one month trip in the Philippines!! It's a little bit of an adventure to get there, but no worries because the host (danku Walter!) helps you with everything! It's worth it! (Tip: try the homemade yoghurt with fresh fruit and granola). Thanks to the staff for going above and beyond to let us feel at home.

United KingdomAccommodation is down a long, windy, bumpy dirt track. Arranging a taxi with the hotel is a must, unless you're prepared to carry your luggage a long way. You're very much in the jungle, with no facilities beyond a cold shower and a toilet that doesn't flush. We understand some people are looking for that, but we didn't understand just how much 'in the jungle' it was, sweltering humidity and the sheer number (and size) of bugs, and so we checked out early after only 1 night of our booked 3. A shame we couldn't get any money back at all, but it's cheap enough and we wanted to leave enough that we accepted it.
Amazing staff, very friendly and seem keen to help. Food on site is truly amazing and surprised us. We were perfectly happy eating here as much as we could. Bed was surprisingly comfortable, with a good mosquito net that had no large holes. Nice to have activities on site, such as kayaking or massage. If you're looking for the jungle experience you'll find it here. You'll be very happy with the value for money.

GermanyGood food for fair prices and really nice an helpful staff. Nice huts with amazing sounds of thousand crickets, some geckos and bats. (You shouldn`t be afraid of charing your room with giant spiders thou) Good location for daytrips with renatal motor bike. Try out the guided tours at rajah sikatuna park if you are interested in forest and wildlife! Have in mind that you need to climb a lot of stairs everytime you want to leave the place or go the restaurant.

FranceThey are a lot of stairs to go from your room to the shared area and the road. Better not have big suitcases.
The location, the view, and the staff were amazing. It’s very authentic, I felt like I was lost in the jungle.
