It was quiet. We loved the shared space and the outdoor shower.

The aircon was quite loud and the roosters from the next door property were very loud! Also there's only two showers for all guests and often no toilet paper or soap in the bathroom.

The staff were very helpful and friendly! Good location and comfy bed.

The recent electricity outage is not the fault of Soffta Surf Ranch. But there is definitely a need for buying a Generator as this Island is getting the electricity from Surigao. An outage means no Electric Fan, limited opportunities to charge the mobile phone, limited amount of water in the CR and Shower and no lights Mosquitoes. There were two big holes in my net.

I was not expecting some dogs inside (especially the pitbull). It's kinda scary during late night when you go out and then going back to hostel, they will bark you.

I like that it is just near tourism road. Everything you need is just outside bars and restaurants.

The power outages but i think it was an island-wide issue. The A/C was at its coldest at around 2am, during the day it didn’t really work, but the ceiling fan helped a lot

I wish they had more fans in the shared room. It gets so hot and its hard to get enough air when you are sharing 1 fan with 3 beds.

The staff are helpful. The room is big also you have enough space to put your luggage. I like that they have locker to store valuable things.

The place to be in Siargao! The staff are really friendly and it's the perfect place to meet people.

-The toilets can be improved. -More ventilation can be put in place.

-Location is good, right at the center where the party is. Just requires a little walk from the main road. -The staff are awesome! They are the highlight of this place. They would play music at night since they have band. -Good progress on the renovation after the typhoon. -Cheap for a hostel, worth the money.

The place wasn't clean, we saw a huge rat in the kitchen at night. The shared showers weren't great either. They started renovations when we were still at the hostel, making it very hard to relax and take a nap during the day. Overall it made us feel a bit unease.

The location was perfect. Very close to all main restaurants and clubs. Our room was quite spacious, so that was nice too! We also rented a scooter with them and it all went smoothly.

Friendly staff, located close to the main road but not on it so more quiet. They do surf board and scooter rentals. Dorm was single beds not bunk plus fan light and charger port. For the price all the facilities etc it was worth it.

Unlike the majority of hotels and hostels in General Luna, Soffta does not have a generator, so there were very regular electricity fluctuations which saw the AC and the fans stop working for hours at a time. There are only two showers for the entire resort, and only one of them has hot water - and there wasn't a lock on the door. The walls are also paper thin - you can hear every single word spoken by people in the next room. The resort was also advertised as a peaceful place ("not a party hostel") - yet there was a party two days after we arrived, with a live band which used up all the power so that we didn't have AC until 10pm. Despite advertising laundry and restaurant facilities, neither were available. As a family with a toddler, we deeply regretted booking to stay at Soffta. It's not a cheap place if you book a private room, and we were very very disappointed.

The staff were very apologetic about the facilities. The location was great.
